Short… charming… and often late.

As usual, being the lazy sleepyhead I am, I’m late for class. No choice but to run. I reach the classroom, panting.

Great, now I have to deal with Mr. Jung’s shouting...

I step into the room, and all eyes turn toward me. Mr. Jung stands there, arms crossed, glaring at me.

Mr. Jung: “How many times have I told you not to be late, Ms. Y/n?”

I’m really sorry…”

Mr. Jung: “This is your last warning.”

I nod, trying to look as sincere as possible.

Mr. Jung: “Take your seat.”

“Yes, sir~”

Mr. Jung: “And don’t get too comfortable.”

“Y-yeah…”

I walk to my seat, finding my best friend Mina with her arms crossed, clearly unimpressed. I take a deep breath and sit down next to her before she can start.

Ah, please don’t start nagging, okay?”

Mina: “You never change, do you, Y/N?”

Ah, I can’t help it… I’m just so tired—”

Mina: “Always…”

She shakes her head, disappointed.

I’ll try to change, I swear~”

As usual, the class drags on, boring as ever. When it finally ends, I let out a relieved sigh.

Mr. Jung: “Don’t forget about your project.”
He walks out.

“Project? What project, Mina?”

Mina: “Ah, you were late, remember? He wants us to do research on old fighters or well-known historians between 1910 - 1925.”

Seriously? Can’t he just give us a break?”

I run my hand through my hair, frustrated.

Who am I even supposed to choose?”

Mina: “Don’t worry, we’ll figure it out. We still have time.”

I nod, though I’m not convinced.

Mina: “Also, we haven’t talked about this morning…”

Ahh, no, don’t start!”

She hits me.

Ouch! That hurts, Mina.”
