The bright sun shone through the curtains and right upon Ron's face, lighting it up, seeking his every freckle, turning his hair a fiery red and making his skin glow softly. The sun washed over the room, lightening up every corner. The soft waves of sunlight tickled his nose as he scrunched it and slowly fluttered his eyes open. He winced at the light and buried his head into the pillow, avoiding waking up. Finally, he couldn't ignore the start of the day as he heard Harry, his best friend, groan, awakening as well. Ron lazily rubbed his eyes, and stretching his limbs, groaning at the fact that he would have to eventually get up for lessons. He sluggishly pushed himself up, yawning and looking around the room to find all of his dorm mates already waking up as well.
"Mornin'" Ron greeted his friends with a rather deep and raspy morning voice.
"Eh, you slept well? I heard you scream" Harry looked at him, wincing his eyes that were still adjusting to the light.
"Oh, uh.." Ron rubbed the back of his neck in embarrassment, remembering the encounter with a mysterious girl that night. He wasn't ready to tell Harry yet, so he played along with the idea of a bad dream.
"I had a nightmare i think... y'know, spiders and stuff" he let out sheepishly.
"Oh, nightmares, huh? Did you try the potion Hermione gave you a week ago?" Harry looked concerned as he stood up from his bed.
"Ah, yeah, the potion...right" Ron made a mental note in his head to take it this night, so that nothing would disturb his sleep.
He stood up from his bed, walking over to the mirror. Looking at his reflection, he ran his hand through his hair and grinned. He then went over to the bathroom to brush his teeth and wash up. As he was done, Ron went to his closet, opening it up and grabbing a brown sweater with the letter "R" on it, which his mom made for him with care. The sweater was paired up with dark brown pants and school robes. Ron brushed a hand through his hair and grabbed his bag, ready to walk out of the room. As soon as he opened the door he froze in shock. Right beside his room was a small figure, sitting curled up against her knees. He sat down and brushed a strand of hair away from her face to reveal her sleeping state.
"Godric, you really didn't want to go away, did you?" he muttered under his breath in disbelief and sighed "hey...wake up..." he gently shook her shoulder, hoping to wake her, but then realizing it was a complete waste of time. He put one of his arms under her knees and the other on her waist and carefully picked her up. To his surprise it wasn't a struggle because of her pretty light weight...and maybe him training his strength on the pitch every now and then.

As he looked around, the first best idea that came to mind was to let her sleep in his bed for now, because he had no clue what house she was in. With that, he opened the door of the dormitory and walked over slowly to his bed, making sure not to disturb her slumber. As he put her down on the bed, he glanced at her peaceful state, still wondering about what had brought both of them into this situation.
"Sleep well...princess" he whispered, emphasizing the word "princess" in a slightly mocking manner.
In a moment he was out of the room, now heading towards potion class with a cloud full of questions floating in his head.
