A happy ending. That's all Beomgyu had ever hoped for in life.
Reading his favorite stories as a child, about fantastical places and people with unimaginable powers, and most importantly – how they always found their prince at the end, that's all he ever wanted.
And sitting here now, surrounded by all his friends, casting spells – this could be that.
"Does anyone have any last blessings or wishes to ask for before we close the circle?" Seungcheol asked, holding up his chalice of wine and looking around the circle of thirteen witches. A lucky number.
Joshua picked up his own chalice – elderflower cordial – to signal his turn to speak. "As springtime is now here," he said in his usual gentle manner, looking around at the den which had been decorated in spring colors and flowers, and through the large windows at the rows of cherry blossom trees which lined the streets, "I want to ask for blessings of a new beginning."
"Yes to that," Seungcheol agreed, taking a sip from his chalice, and so did everyone else. "Anyone else?" he continued.
Hoshi raised his chalice. "Am I allowed to wish for money?" "Yes, but we're all going to judge you."
"Never mind then," Hoshi said and put down his chalice. Seokmin began to laugh next to him.
"Does anyone else want to ask for anything else?" Seungcheol asked again.
After a brief moment, Beomgyu made the decision to pick up his own chalice. "Could I make a wish for the coven?"
"Of course," Seungcheol said, encouraging him to continue.
Beomgyu looked at his left, where Taehyun was sat with him, looking as beautiful as ever, and then around at everyone else, glowing in their own magical ways. "I wish for everyone to be loved."
"That's really sweet, Beomgyu ," Kai said from his right, picking up his chalice – wine, he had requested it specifically to annoy Jeonghan, though that was not an important point to make anymore.
Beomgyu smiled and took a sip of his drink.

"Ostara is my favorite out of all the Wiccan rituals," Kai explained to Beomgyu after the ritual was over. "Seungcheol always has flowers everywhere. The house starts to smell like a perfumery. Sometimes we use lily stems to cast spells. I wonder why we didn't get one today."
"I don't know. It'd have been pretty magical though," Beomgyu said, scanning the room for Seungcheol but spotting Taehyun instead, who was talking to Yeonjun but caught his eye anywhere. They shared a smile, and Kai made an amused sound.
"Would you excuse me for a moment?" Kai said, heading towards where Taehyun was and pulling him away from Yeonjun.
"I was talking to him!" Yeonjun called out as Kai dragged Taehyun out the door of the den. Beomgyu was stood next to him, equally as surprised.
"Go whine to Soobin about it!" Kai yelled back, not listening as Yeonjun grumbled something about how he's the coven's spoiled baby.
They turned the corner into the hallway, and Kai directed them towards the kitchen, shutting the door behind them and spinning around to face Taehyun, an excited look on his face.
"So?" he asked, looking at Taehyun expectantly. "So?" Taehyun repeated, confused.
"What's the deal now? You and Beomgyu ?" Taehyun began to blush. "What do you mean?"
"Don't act like you don't know anything," Kai said, crossing his arms and giving the other a knowing look. "I talked to Kiki when I visited your shop yesterday. She told me what happened last week."
