ships: DreamNotFound, hinted KarlNap

The two boys were caught off guard as the door swung open, revealing Sanpa standing in the doorway, surprise etched across his face. Dream and George quickly disentangled themselves from each other, frantically trying to look casual, but the flush on their cheeks betrayed their secret.

Sapnap's eyes flicked between Dream and George, his expression a mix of confusion and curiosity. He raised an eyebrow, a small smirk playing at the corners of his lips as he leaned against the doorframe. "Well, well, well," Sapnap drawled, his voice dripping with playful mockery. "What do we have here?"

Dream and George exchanged a panicked glance, their hearts racing. They had been so careful to keep their relationship a secret, but now they had been caught red-handed. Dream tried to feign indifference, running a hand through his dishevelled hair. "Just hanging out, you know." His voice was a touch too casual, betraying the tension in his body.

Sapnap chuckled, the smirk on his face growing wider. "Oh, I see," he drawled, his tone laced with scepticism. "Just 'hanging out,' huh?" George fidgeted nervously, averting his gaze and pretending to find sudden interest in the carpet beneath them. He could feel Sapnap's gaze boring into him, his palms sweating. They hadn't expected Sapnap to stumble upon them like this, and now they were exposed.

Sapnap's eyes then landed on George's neck, noticing a couple of small marks that hadn't been there before they'd been rudely interrupted. His smirk grew larger as he took in the sight of Dream wearing George's hoodie, which was a bit too tight on him.

"Ah," Sapnap teased, "and I suppose you're borrowing clothes from each other now?"

Dream and George squirmed under his scrutiny, their previous nonchalance shattered. It was all too obvious that they had been caught in the act. Sapnap's smirk widened even further, and he pushed himself off the doorframe, approaching the two boys slowly. "I never knew you two were so cosy together," he continued, his tone a mix of amusement and curiosity. "Sharing clothes and all..."

Dream tried to maintain his cool composure, but his flushed cheeks gave away his embarrassment. "It's just a hoodie, man."

Despite his teasing, there was a hint of confusion in Sapnap's expression. He couldn't help but wonder why Dream and George hadn't told him about their secret relationship. But maintaining his usual sarcastic demeanour, he continued his playful banter.

"Oh, so you two have been keeping secrets from your best friend, huh?" he said, feigning mock hurt. "I thought we were supposed to share everything." Dream and George exchanged anxious glances, knowing that they would have to explain themselves sooner rather than later. Sapnap's friendly ribbing had a way of disarming them, but they knew they couldn't keep their relationship a secret any longer. Sapnap leaned back against the wall, crossing his arms over his chest. "So," he began, a sly grin on his face, "care to explain why I had to find out about this through a simple door-opening incident?" Dream and George looked at each other, silently debating who should speak first. Finally, Dream took a deep breath and spoke up, his voice slightly hoarse. "Look, we didn't mean to keep it from you," Dream started, rubbing the back of his neck awkwardly. "It just kind of... happened."

Sapnap's teasing demeanour softened momentarily, and a flicker of understanding crossed his face. "I get it," he said, his voice a bit gentler. "You didn't want to say anything until you knew it was safe."

As Sapnap spoke, George began to feel the exhaustion setting in. The adrenaline of being caught had worn off, and the weight of the secret was taking its toll. He leaned slightly against Dream, who instinctively wrapped an arm around his waist. "It wasn't easy, you know," Dream added, his voice a low murmur. "We didn't want to hurt anyone or mess up our friendship."
