Before Kaveri could say anything, she felt a hand on her shoulder. Startled, she turned around, her eyes following the hand to that person's face. Before she could process what is happening, that man suddenly pulled her, his grip tight on her shoulder. She fell to the ground, a sharp pain shooting through her leg and a cut on her forehead which is deep enough that let out some blood drops.
"Ahh! Who are you? What do you want?" she lashed out, her voice trembling with pain and fear.
The man stepped closer, his every step towards her making her heart beat faster in fear, his voice low and menacing, "I want you, darling... your life." he said last part bending towards her while she is still on ground placing her hands on rough surface which made them all red.
Kaveri struggled to process his words. Her heart pounded, panic setting in as he came closer to her. In a quick move, she grabbed a handful of sand and threw it in his eyes. 'It's time to run' she thought, her body aching but she is still running in a hope to escape.

Vihaan's heart raced as he heard Kaveri's sobs through the phone. "Hello! Kaveri, hello!" he shouted, but there was no response. Then he heard the man's chilling words, "I want you, darling... your life"
A fire run from his spine to his eyes, his vision turning red with rage. "No... no, don't you dare touch her!" he screamed, his voice breaking. He pushed himself to run faster, his legs burning as he is running through the forest. "Just a few more minutes, Kaveri. Hold on, meri jaan" he said in between heavy breaths, adding fuel to his every step.
But all of the sudden, his knees gave out, and he slipped, rolling down a slope. He crashed into a tree, a sharp piece of wood piercing his right leg and a stinging pain hit on his shoulder "Damn! Fuck!!" he groaned, pulling the wood out with gritted teeth, then forced himself to keep going as his injury bothered him less in imagination about her condition and he blamed himself as always ,limping he started running
On otherside Kaveri got a chance to run but before she could move, the man grabbed her with one hand while still wiping his eyes with the other. "You bitch!" he shouted and slapped her hard.
The force of the slap made her spin to other side. Her vision blurred, and she saw a sharp rock ahead. Time seemed to slow as her thoughts raced. I'm tired, I can't fight anymore. If this is the end, I'll accept it. But before that just once, I want to see him... Vihaan. Her mind running through many random things as she closed her eyes, surrendering to the fate and accepting her end.
But strong arms wrapped around her shoulders. She opened her eyes and followed those arms up to his face. "Vihaan" she whispered, her lips broke into a smile, her eyes filled with tears.
Without thinking anymore, she hugged him tightly, as if her life depend on it. Vihaan felt her sudden move , she wrapped her hands around his neck, pressing her weight against him. He took a few steps back losing his balance, his back hitting a tree as he couldn't balance because of her sudden hug. It all happened so fast. For a moment, he just stood there, stunned, before his arms wrapped around her, hugging her back.
