Later that evening, Divya stood in front of her full-length mirror, adjusting the delicate fabric of her dress. It was a soft shade of maroon, elegant yet understated-perfect for their secret dinner. She glanced at her watch; Joshua would be arriving soon, and they had chosen a quiet, out-of-the-way restaurant for tonight, somewhere far from curious eyes.

Her Look

Her phone buzzed just as she picked up her purse.

"Outside. Can't wait to see you - J"

Smiling to herself, Divya grabbed her coat and headed out, her excitement bubbling just beneath her calm exterior. She stepped into the elevator, her heart racing a little faster with each floor that passed. When the doors finally opened, there he was-Joshua, leaning casually against his car, dressed impeccably in a simple black shirt and jacket, looking effortlessly handsome.

Their eyes met, and for a moment, the world seemed to fade away.

"You look beautiful," Joshua said softly as she approached, his smile warm and genuine.

"And you look... like you've been waiting a while," she teased, though her smile mirrored his.

"Not too long. It's worth the wait," he replied, opening the passenger door for her.

The drive to the restaurant was peaceful, the city lights casting a soft glow through the windows. As they pulled up to the quiet, candlelit restaurant, Divya felt a sense of ease wash over her. This was their little bubble, a place where they didn't have to worry about the rest of the world for a while.

They were seated in a cozy corner, the soft hum of music playing in the background. Joshua reached across the table, taking her hand in his.

"How was work?" he asked, his voice full of warmth.

Divya chuckled, rolling her eyes. "Let's just say that picture has caused more chaos than I anticipated. People are getting way too invested."

Joshua grinned. "Well, at least we're giving them something to talk about."

She shook her head, laughing softly. "You're enjoying this way too much."

"Maybe a little," he admitted, his eyes sparkling mischievously. "But only because I get to spend time with you like this."

Divya's heart swelled at his words, her fingers lightly tracing the back of his hand. This was what she cherished most-their moments together, away from the spotlight, where they could just be themselves.

As their dinner arrived, the conversation flowed easily, filled with laughter and quiet exchanges. They spoke about everything and nothing-their day, upcoming projects, and plans for the future. The outside world felt so far away in that moment, as if time had slowed just for them.
