"Mum!" Ginny wailed down the windy stairs toward her mother.
"Ginny please give me a minute." A frantic Mrs.Weasley answered as she flicked her wand to raise glistening streamers throughout the house. Ginny knew her mum had no intention of addressing Ginny's missing bracelet anytime soon. She slumped heavily onto her bed pressing her ear onto her wall. Ginny could hear hushed voices from the next room.
"We have to stay for the wedding at least, mum will kill us if we leave now." Ron half yelled.
"Keep your voice down Ronald, we don't want to worry Ginny," Hermione whispered slightly smacking Ron.
"Oh yeah but disappearing in the night with no explanation will make her feel loads better." Ron retorted. Having had enough of the bickering Ginny rolled to the other side of her bed. She had known for days now they were leaving but she was unsure of how soon. A knot tightened in her stomach as she realized that when she awoke she would no longer be in the same place as her brother and best friends. A loud thumping came as Fred and George raced down the crooked stairs smashing uninvited into her room.
"Ginny!" Fred exclaimed, "We need to talk."
"Okay" Ginny replied wondering what possibly was so urgent that they had needed to smash her door in to speak about.
"You can't go to Hogwarts," George said matter of factly.
"Well actually you have to go, but then you can't stay. Do you understand?" Fred asked searching Ginny's eyes for a sign of understanding.
"What?" Ginny's voice was enraged, her brothers were always telling her what to do and now they thought they could take away her education.
"It's dangerous. Snape's the new headmaster, that place will be crawling with death eaters and they will take any chance they have to get Harry."
"Fred if you have forgotten I'm not Harry, and we're not even dating anymore," Ginny said with a tinge of regret in her voice.
"Ginny you know how Harry is about his friends. He hates when we put ourselves in harm's way for him, and I reckon You Know Who knows that too. So what's the best way to make Harry turn himself in?" George asked scanning Ginny's emotionless face. She said nothing, but she knew the answer.
"Kill you," Fred said with a slight hiccup.
"So then why do I have to go back at all? Why can't I just drop out like the lot of you? You think it's better to send your sister to her possible death?" Ginny was rambling now angry and backing herself into a corner of the room. Wizards on posters zoomed out of her way as she smashed into the wall.
"Ginny it's not that easy. With dad's job at the ministry and they would be suspicious if you" But George was cut short with Ginny smacking him square across the face.
"Yeah, great idea Fred." Ginny screeched tears now freely pouring.
"Send your sister to a school where people are out to kill her! And then if she doesn't die then see if she can somehow come back because dad better keeps his job. You know I would have assumed you valued my life over a damned job!" Fred and George stood stunned in the middle of Ginny's room.
"That's not what we meant." George stammered trying to calm his sister down.
"What's going on in here?" Ron asked pushing past Fred and George revealing a balling Ginny.
"Honestly like you even care!" Ginny squeaked through her tears.
"Don't you have to pack so you run off tonight and save the world Ronald! Don't mind your older brothers are trying to sacrifice me to the dark lord. But why would you care? You didn't even know! Did you?" She screamed collapsing on her bed in a fit.
