"Hey, Jimin!" Seokjin chased after the couple as Jimin laughed out loud. "You can't run away like that. We're supposed to accompany you to the mating cabin."
"You're so slow!" Jimin yelled back, eyes sparkling with mischief. He dragged the alpha along with him, trying to outrun his brother. "I can't wait until you guys grow tired of drinking and dancing before remembering your real purpose of the night."
Jungkook chuckled beside him, shoulders shaking. He lifted a hand to cover his mouth, trying to stifle his laughter.
Seokjin caught up with them easily, catching him and wrapping a hand around him in a fake chokehold. "Brat!" he growled. "The healer is already waiting outside your cabin. I was just going to come and get you. But impatient as always."
"Can you blame me?" Jimin questioned. "Have you seen my alpha?" He bumped into Jungkook playfully.
The alpha's ears grew red but his smile never faltered. His smile widened, revealing a hint of shyness beneath his confident exterior.
They continued down the worn down path lit with moon light. The forest was alive around them with the sounds of nature. A run would be magical tonight. Jimin wished they could go on a run but since it was his mating night, they weren't allowed to.
Seokjin rolled his eyes playfully and led them through the path away from the village. Soon the mating cabin came into view. The small hut, tucked away from the bustling village was a modest structure, blending seamlessly with nature.
The circular structure with a high, thatched roof was supported by wooden beams. The inside was large and spacious compared with the walls made of natural materials giving it an earthy and rustic feel. The torches mounted on the wooden beams cast a dim, golden glow across the only room, creating a calm, serene atmosphere.
A spacious, canopy-covered bed sat at the center of the cabin. It was draped with soft, delicate sheets and furs. All personal and a few gifts from Jimin's family. Colorful rugs occupied the foot of the bed, creating a cozy ambiance.
Jimin entered the cabin with his mate, describing everything inside as he went. Seokjin stopped outside the cabin, clearing his throat.
The beta glanced over his shoulder and saw his brother hesitating. "What is it, brother?"
"Are you sure about this?" Seokjin glanced to the side. "You don't have to do this tonight, Jimin."
Jimin went out to see the guards dragging the four alphas toward the cabin. The scents of caviar, licorice, oysters and pepper reached him first. They were dirt and looked disheveled.
A grin spread across his face. "Yes. They've been taunting me for ages. If I'm punishing them, I should do it the right way." He grinned. "They had so many doubts about my alpha's abilities and had a lot to say, so I'm gonna clear them all today. Also, this is the only action they're going to get in their lives." His smile was malicious.
"He's gonna marry a blind wolf. Like how do things even work for them? Jimin, where are you? I can't see anything. Where is your hole?"
"Han-wool, that's so accurate."
"Imagine the mating ceremony night. What if he bit somewhere else other than his neck? That would be so painful."
Their words and actions replayed in his mind, stirring the bitterness in his heart. He felt no empathy for them. They had years to reform but their actions only progressively got worse. While his father's lack of punishment also aided to how things turned out, they weren't good people.
