As i was heading down to the lobby at the end of the day, i bumped into my boss.
'Kaliyah, i've been looking for you all day.' He approached me.
'Good evening, George.' I smiled. 'Can i help you?'
'I've been needing to give you this letter.' He said, handing me an envelope. 'It's for a future trip, just all the information. Take a good read.' He winked.
'Wow this is great news.' I smiled.
'What happened to those shoes of yours?' He frowned, staring down at my feet.
'Oh it's a long story. Coffee.' I explained. My cheeks flushing red with embarrassment.
'I doubt those will be white again,' he chuckled 'anyway, you have a good evening i have things to finish up!'
'You too George, see you tomorrow.' I nodded.
I waited for Jobe Bellingham to arrive in the pick-up parking spot, to pick me up. I still couldn't really believe it. When i have access to a phone, i'll be telling my little brother all about this.
Not too long later the same black car that i got dropped off in, pulled up in the parking space. The windows were tinted so i couldn't actually see if it was him, but i was pretty certain.
I opened the door and sighed in relief.
'Thank god it's you.' I said, getting in and putting my belt on.
'What's that meant to mean?' Jobe laughed, driving off.
'Your tinted windows.' i said. 'Didn't know if it was you inside.'
'That's funny. I got you some coffee, just to replace the one i knocked this morning.' He said.
I looked to the compartments that were between the front two seats and there was 2 cups of coffee from the same cafe i had visited this morning. I knew because they had very distinct coffee cup designs there.
'You really didn't have to do that. I thought i told you it was all fine.' I laughed. 'Thank you though.'
'I wanted one myself so i thought i'd replace your one whilst i was there.'
I just laughed and he turned the music up a little. I noticed he was wearing a football top. It wasn't like one he would wear in a match so i assumed it was probably a training shirt.
'Have you had training?' I asked.
'Yeah i just came from there actually.' He answered.
'How was it?'
'Good thanks, a bit colder today as we're getting towards the winter months. I wish i was out in Spain like Jude, my brother, at least it's warmer there.'
'You don't like the cold?' I asked.
'Much prefer summer.' He shrugged.
'Jude plays for Madrid doesn't he?'
'Yes. He does.' Jobe nodded, turning the wheel with the bottom of his hand. 'How was work?'
'It was okay. Only one person noticed my stained shoes.' I laughed.
'Again, i'm sorry for that.'
