"Darling this cut is kind of deep, are you sure you fell?" The school nurse looked at her like she didn't believe her story.

Well she didn't blame her who would believe she fell from the step and she had a deep cut that look like a deep knife cut.

Sophie managed to shake her head, her eyes puffy and red, her face was stained with tears and her newly made her looked so disheveled.

" Are you okay darling?" The nurse asked for the umpteenth time doing the finishing touches of her injury.

She shook her head hurridely taking her stuffs out, she already called her mom's driver to avoid people looking at her like she is running mad.

Sophie opened the car door hopping in, she put her bag aside looking at her bandaged hand.

She felt relived when she got home and her mom wasn't home she doesn't have to explain how she got a deep cut on a hand from school when she would always say school is fine.

She ran upstairs changing her clothes trying to work on her assignments which was due tomorrow. She groaned as she tried to lift her injured hand to take out cereals for lunch.

" Heyyyy Sophie" her mother boyfriend Davis walked in she rose her brow to look at him before focusing on cereal which she was trying to pour with great difficulty.

" Didn't you hear me?" He asked coming closer hus tall figure covered her smile figure, he uses his hand to raise her chin up to look at him.

Sophie pushed his hands away with her uninjured hand taking her cereal wanting to walk away.

" Walk away darling! I am still gonna get you!" He yelled laughing loudly.

Sophie hissed running to the her room locking it from behind before eating her lunch writing a few things she could think of in her assignment.

"Soph darling!" Her mom called out locking the door from behind holding groceries.

" Heyy love" she turned to see her boyfriend Davis, she was shocked.

" Hii darling, didn't know you came here" she moved closer kissing his lips while Sophie stood at the end of the staircase looking at them with an eye roll.

" Hii mom" she collected the groceries from her she could feel davis eyes on her as she walked to the kitchen.

" Hey my love, how was school?" She smiled leaning on the counter.

" Fine" Sophie replied shortly turning to face her mother.

"What happened to your hand Sophie?" Her mother brow furrowed as she examined her hand.

" Twas just an ordinary accident" Sophie shrugged praying her mom believes.

" An ordinary accident? It looks deep soph"

" Mom please don't stress it, it's an accident please" she tried to leave but her mom wasn't letting her.

" What's going in here?" Davis walked in.

" Look at her hand Davis, she says it's just an accident"

" It's probably just an accident Elena don't sweat it" Davis waved it off.

" Yess mom listen to Davis" Sophie was glad Davis chipped in probably the first time he has spoken with sense since she has known him.

She ran to her room to avoid her mom further questions.
