The morning comes, and Kinich was already up. He was wide awake, texting back and forth with Lyney.

"Yeah, I'm leaving today."

"Awh, well, if you ever want to come back, I'll meet up with you!" Lyney sent.

"Heh, thanks"

Kinich smiled at his phone.

"Well, I have to get ready to leave."

"Dang, well.. would you be interested in calling when you get to your home land? :) " Lyney asks.

"I wouldn't mind."

"Rad! ^^" Lyney texts.

____

Kinich smiles as he places his phone in his pocket and grabs his bags, getting out of the hotel room and starting on his journey back home.

____

"LYNEY!" A girl yells, walking into Lyney's room.

"What lynette." He says, glancing at her, then looking at his phone again.

"Get off your phone; Father is here still."

"Fine fine, just a minute."

Lynette walks out, and Lyney goes back to looking at his phone. He had sneakily taken photos of Kinich. Mainly only photos of him smiling, but there was one he wanted to find specifically.

It was one he took yesterday; Kinich was at the show. His eyes wide and mouth agape watching the show.

He smiles as he finds it.

"Gosh, he looks so silly," he says, placing his phone down on his bed and then getting up.

"Hi father," he says, walking up to her.

____

5 hours later, Kinich arrived back into Natlan.

"Kinich!" Yells a little girl.

"Oh, hey, Kachina," he says, ruffling her hair.

She stares at him with a raised eyebrow. "Why are you so happy?"

"What?"

"I mean, usually you are cold. I mean, don't get me wrong, you are nice, but your too happy." Kachina says, hand on her hip.

"Uhm, I just liked visiting Fontaine."

"You went to Fontaine?" She exclaims.

"Yeah, you can come with me next time; don't worry."

Kachina smiles and runs off to go talk to some people.

He walks to Mualani's tribe.

He laughs as he sees her fighting with a saurian that had a floaty in its mouth.

"Hey Maulani!"

(I hc Mualani is an aroace, btw.)

"Hey! Back from Fontaine already?" She asks, finally getting the floaty back.

"Yeah, next time I go, Kachina will go with us. I wanted to know, Would you want to go?"

"Yeah! Definitely, I didn't go this time because work," she says, hand on her hip.

"Ahh, makes sense. I'm thinking about maybe in 2 weeks." He asks.

"Sure," she says.

"Well, I gotta go home," he says, starting to walk away.

"Now you wait right there," Mualani says.

"Why?"

"Who is it?" she says, now both hands on her hips.

"Sorry?"

"Who'd you meet?" she says, pausing. "While in Fontaine."

"What? Nobody," he says blushing.

"Aweee Kinich has a crush?!" She says, skipping over and shaking him.

"Ah-" He groans, grabbing his forehead as he steadys himself. "I don't have a crush."

"Don't lie to me! Tell me the name!"

"He's a friend.. and his name is Lyney."

"He's?! His?!" She says, covering her mouth. "You like boys?!" She says, shaking him again.

"Stop shaking me," he complains, stumbling backwards. "And again, he's just a friend."

Mualani giggles and stops shaking him. "Okkk whatever you say!"

The two chatted for around 5 more minutes, then Kinich returned to his tribe.

____

After finally arriving home, he falls into his bed.

"Ah, so you finally came home?" Ajaw says, hand on his hip.

"Be quiet," he mumbles, the words muffled by the mattress.

He fell asleep quickly.

"The past two weeks have gone by quickly, it feels." He says to Kachina and Mualani.

"That's because you can't wait to see your crush~" Mualani teases.

"What-! No!" Kinich says

"He has a crush!?"

'I mean, we've been talking for the past two weeks, but I don't think I can say I like him, but I don't hate him. He's different in a good way. He changed the way I see yellow; it's in everything, though we may not see it. I like cats now; they are calm and cute.'

"Its not a crush." He says blushing.

The three start to walk out of the bounds of Natlan.

"Whats his name?" Kachina asks.

"Lyney," Mualani says.

"Oh! I've heard of him; he's a magician; his first show went popular," Kachina says.

Kinich just walked with them blushing.

"Tell us about him!" Kachina says.

"No-"

"Please!" They both plead.

"Fine.. um, he has blonde hair.. he has a sister. He likes cats. He has a bubbly personality." He mumbles.

"And how'd yall meet?" Mualani asks.

"Ah, uhm.. he just walked up to me."

"Oh, come on-that's not what really happened, is it?" Mualani teases.

"Ok fine.."

He groans and explains how they met and what he did.

"What!?" The two exclaim.

"Now come on! He must think your cute!~" Mualani teases.

Kinich blushes. "Stop talking about him."

The other two remain silent the rest of the way there. They all talk every now and again, but they all don't want to waste too much energy, so they remain silent.

Kinich gets on his phone as they get on the boat to get into the city.

_____

"Im almost in Fontaine; are you meeting me?"

"Mhm!" Lyney texts.

"Oh, alright, my friends will be with me."

"Ok! I can't wait to meet them; if they are friends with you, then they must be pretty cool."

"Heh, yeah, they are," Kinich says, smiling, which doesn't go unnoticed by Mualani.

"Textin ur crush?" She teases.

"Yes- Mualani! He's not my crush; he's just a friend."

She sighs.

The three arrive in the city. The girls were staring at the tall building. "Fancy." Mualani mumbles.

"I know right," Kinich replies, spotting Lyney.

"Oh Lyney! Hi," he says, waving.

Lyney walks over. "Hello! You must be Mualani," he says, shaking Mualanis hand and then looking down at Kachina. "And your Kachina, correct."

"You've got it correct," Kinich says.

"I thought so; Kinich told me about you guys! I assume you three are close," he says.

"Yeah, we are," Mualani says. "We are like a family; Kachina is the youngest, and me and Kinich are the oldest!"

"Nice! I have a younger brother and a twin," Lyney says.

"You have a brother?"

"I never told you?" Lyney says, looking at Kinich.

"No-"

Lyney sighs. "Ah, sorry, it must've slipped my mind."

"Its fine-"

"Why don't you two go hang out? Me and Kachina will look around," Mualani says, winking at Kinich.

"Sure!" Lyney says, smiling.

Before Kinich could speak, Lyney was already dragging him away.

He brought him to a bench in the shade away from everyone.

"So how have you been?" Lyney asks.

"I've been good, and what about you?"

"Well, something's been eating at me so... I'm glad we've had some alone time because I really feel like I need to get this off my chest." Lyney says, looking away with a soft blush on his cheeks.

"What is it?" Kinich asks.

"I think... I sort of like you, but I'm not sure yet. I like your personality, your face; it's so... unexplainable, like your smile; it's like I'm looking at a kitten when I see it, and your just-you draw me in." Lyney says with a soft expression.

Kinich blushes brightly. "I think I like you too, maybe in a friend way, but it feels like more. When you guessed my favourite colour, you said yellow. I didn't even have one until you said it, and same with cats. Your smile comforts me, and so does your voice. I'd love to get to know you more if you'd like." He says, looking away.

"I'd love that!" Lyney says, smiling brightly. He hugs Kinich, maybe lingering a little too long for a friendly hug.

The two chatted for hours until Lyney had to go home and clean.
