Douxie had gone to bed early that night, because of a headache, so when he woke up and the sky was still dark, he wasn't surprised.

He woke up because he was hungry, he usually snacked on something right before going to bed, but he hadn't eaten since lunch.

Deciding to go to the kitchen, he gets up and puts his shoes on.

He leaves the room, closing the door carefully so that Archie doesn't wake up, and then makes starts to walk to the kitchen.

It's quite far away, since it's underground, but some torches on the wall are lit, thankfully.

He decides to take a shortcut, and in there, he runs into a knight, just one. It was unusual, but maybe he had to do something.

Hisirdoux just kept walking, the knight was on the other side of the hallway, so there should be no problem at all.

However, the closer they got to crossing paths, the more the knight moved so he'd be in front of the boy.

As soon as they were about to ho in opposite ways, Douxie moved a bit to the left, the knight did the same, and the boy laughed a bit, just to be nice, but what the knight said next, caused his niceness to go away.

"Are you one of the king's whores?"

"Excuse me?" Douxie asked back, completely shocked at the directness of the question.

"Oh, you heard me, lad, don't play dumb," the knight said, and by the way he sounded, Douxie could tell that he was drunk.

"I'm Merlin's apprentice," the teen answered simply.

He didn't get an answer for a bit, so he tried to walk away, but as soon as he did so, the drunk man put himself in front of him again.

"So you're the old man's cock warmer," the man said, and Douxie cringed, not liking the path this conversation was on.

"No, I'm his apprentice, magic apprentice, he teaches me magic," Douxie explains nervously, trying to leave again, but this time, instead of just stepping in front of him, the man put a hand to his chest, which Douxie quickly shook away.

"You're not going anywhere," the knight said, suddenly sounding much more sober.

"I just want to go get something to eat," Hisirdoux explained, still trying to leave.

"Oh, and you'll eat," he told the boy.

"Great, then will you please let me pass?" The boy asked.

The answer he got was the man laughing and grabbing his shoulders with such force that it almost dislocated them.

"You'll eat after I'm done." As soon as those words were spoken, Douxie felt his back harshly hitting the wall.

He was pretty sure that he heard something crack, and since the wall was made out of stone, and his hip was hurting really bad, he was pretty sure he had just broken his hip, or at least dislocated, he didn't know, he only knew that it hurt really bad.

"What do you want? I don't have money. Do you want my bracelet? I can hardly cast any spell without it, but if that's all you want, then I'll give it to you," Hisirdoux rambled, which now he realised he shouldn't have done.

"Yeah, your bracelet would be nice," the man said, and Douxie didn't want to give it to him, but if it was all it took for the man to leave him alone, then he'd do it.

He gave the bracelet to the man, which released him just for a bit, because as soon as Douxie moved, the man pushed him against the wall much harder than before, after throwing the bracelet to the other side of the hall.
