"What are those?" Archie asked, pointing at his wrists.
The teen quickly pulled his sleeves down.
"I already said it was nothing. What you saw was probably just some loose fabric," Hisirdoux lied.
"Oh, are those marks on your neck pieces of fabric too?" The dragon asked, he had let his emotions get to him, and ended up sounding harsher than he had intended to.
"It's nothing," Douxie mumbled sounding something a mix of ashamed and overwhelmed, as if he was about to burst into tears at any second.
"Douxie, I just want to know what's wrong. I'm worried, Morgana and Merlin are too," the familiar said softly as he moved closer to the boy.
"I already said that there's nothing to worry about. Do you know where my scarf is?" He asked, in hopes to change the topic of the conversation.
Archie flew and returned with the scarf, which Hisirdoux quickly put on.
He was just glad that winter was begining, the first snow had just fallen, so it wouldn't be suspicious or weird for him to wear a scarf, after all, everyone who knew him, knew that if the temperature dropped even a half of a degree, he'd complain about it being really cold outside.
He hadn't seen Catherine around for a while, which was strange, but he thought nothing of it, she did have a little brother she needed to take care of when their parents went out of Camelot, maybe that was all that happened.
Finally leaving the bedroom, the apprentice and his familiar entered the workshop where they found Merlin already working on whatever he was always working on.
"Ah, Hisirdoux, can you get me a piece of cloth?" Merlin asked, so focused on what he was doing that his voice was monotonous.
Douxie handed his master the piece of cloth, trying not to wince with every step he took.
The first two times it had hurt and he even passed out, but that had been an ache in his bones and in the inside part of his body, now, the knight had hurt him all over. He had digged his nails in Douxie's butt until it drew blood, and then he dragged his nails all the way uo his back, so there were huge lines that went all the way from his thighs to almost his neck. Then he made sure that the boy bled much more than he had the other two times, his legs still had blood on them, he was in desperate need of a bath.
"Master, I need to take a bath, do you need my help right now, or can I go?" He asked, his voice accidentally showing a hint of the pain he felt.
"I just need you to put the things on that table somewhere else, I need to lay a map there and there's not enough space," Merlin said, gesturing to the table his apprentice had been bent over for almost the whole night.
He took and deep breath and did his best to not think about it as he cleared the table.
As he did that, Archie had gone to fly around the castle.
Once finished, he was dismissed, but his trembling didn't go unnoticed.
He made his way to the bathing room.
At some point, he could hear the footsteps of someone who was following him, but he just walked faster.
He got inside as quickly as possible, but as he was trying to lock the door, it opened again, revealing the person who he feared the most.
"Please don't, leave me alone, just today, please," he said, stumbling over his words as he walked backwards.
"Oh, but I'm going to visit you tonight anyway, this is just a little visit to make my day less boring." The knight walked towards him, eventually trapping him in a corner.
