Dean pulls up to Jody's house and gets out. Sam gets out and opens the back door for Lucy, the girl slowly getting out.

"Okay. See? Not so bad." Sam shrugs.

"Mm-hmm." She nods a little.

"We-- we don't have to do this. You can stay with us." Sam reminds.

"N-no. No, it-- it's fine." Lucy says. "You guys have... have your mom and... and stuff."

"I don't mind you staying. It-- I mean, we'd have to work some stuff out, but... but we could make it work if you want." Sam offers.

"I can try this first." Lucy says.

"Okay." Sam nods. "I'll get your bag." He goes to the trunk and opens it, grabbing the girl's bag.

Lucy waits for Sam before following him up to the house. Sam walks in the open door, Lucy trailing behind him like a lost puppy.

"Hey." Sam smiles once he sees Jody.

"Sam! Hi." Jody smiles, pulling him in for a hug. "Good to see you."

"Yeah, you, too." Sam says. "Uh, Jody, this is Lucy." He motions to the teenager. "Lucy, this is Jody."

"Hi." Jody holds her hand out. Lucy stares at it for a few moments before briefly remembering her dad teaching her about handshakes. She grabs Jody's hand, letting the woman shake their hands before letting go.

"Hi." Lucy mumbles.

"Are you hungry?" Jody asks.

"Yes." Dean answers.

"Not you." Jody whispers. She looks back at Lucy expectantly.

"Uh... n-no. No, I'm good." Lucy says.

"Okay. Um, why don't I show you around?" Jody suggests and Lucy nods. "All right, come on." Jody gently smiles, starting to leave.

Lucy attempts to follow, but freezes. She looks back at Sam, the man quickly understanding she wants him to go with.

"Yeah. Yeah, let's go." Sam says, putting her bag down and following her after Jody.

They left Lucy in Claire's room, letting her try to get used to it.

"I can make it work if she wants to stay." Jody says. "Do you want her to stay?"

"What?" Sam looks at her, stammering at the inquisitive look she has. "Yeah. Yeah, I-I mean... you're probably a better fit for her. She needs... you know, a lot of therapy."

"I don't know of a therapist who would accept vampire kidnappers as anything but a visit to a mental hospital." Jody says.

"Right. Right, yeah, uh..." Sam scratches his head. "Just... I don't--"

"Hey." Dean walks in, scrolling on his phone. "I found a case. Think we should go."

"Wha-- now? Like, right now?" Sam asks.

"Yeah. Monsters don't wait, Sam." Dean says.

"Wha-- no, Lucy still needs a bit to--"

"She'll be fine." Dean insists. 

"You can go. I got her." Jody assures.

"I--" Sam struggles, looking over as Lucy walks in. "Hey. Hey, kiddo. Um... okay, so-- so Dean found a case. Uh, but if you need me to stay, I--"

"You can go." Lucy says, glancing between the two brothers.

"What?" Sam asks.

"I don't want you to not help people because of me. You should go." Lucy says.
