Sam is sitting at the map table, staring at his laptop as he dwells over the unread messages he has from his mom.

"Sam?" He turns back when he hears Lucy.

"Yeah? What's up?" He asks.

"Can I rent, uh, Halloween?" She asks.

"You-- Halloween?" Sam frowns.

"Yeah." Lucy nods.

"It-- that's a horror movie." Sam says. "Murder, knives, scary."

"Yeah." Lucy says.

"You-- you want to watch a horror movie?" Sam asks. "All you watch is Disney Channel."

"Disney Channel has horror movies." Lucy reasons.

"Calling those horror movies is being generous." Sam chuckles.

"I want to try it. Can I?" Lucy asks.

"I-- yeah. Yeah, sure." Sam relents. "Uh, yeah." He fishes his wallet out and gives her his credit card. "Have fun, I guess."

"Thanks." She takes the card and runs out of the room.

"I shouldn't have done that." Sam whispers to himself.

Sam knocks on Lucy's door.

"Come in." She calls out and Sam opens the door.

"Hey." He gives her a small smile. "Uh, I-I'm going out for a bit, Dean left. I'll be back tonight."

"You-- I'm home alone?" Lucy asks.

"Yeah." Sam nods.

"Can I go with you?" Lucy asks.

"Uh... I don't-- I think it'd be best if you stay here." Sam says.

"No. No, I want to go with you." Lucy says, shutting the laptop and getting up. "I mean, you're not... going on a hunt or anything?"

"Well... no. No, not really." Sam says.

"So can I go?" Lucy asks.

"I-- okay, look, I-I'm going to see my mom." Sam says and Lucy nods. "She's at the compound that the Brits have." He adds making Lucy deflate a little.

"Oh." She mumbles.

"I mean, if you want to go, you can. I just... I feel like you'd be more comfortable here." Sam says.

"Well, you're there, right?" She asks.

"Yeah." Sam nods.

"So that's fine." Lucy says, grabbing her jacket. "I can go."

"Okay." Sam nods, wrestling about the decision in his mind. He steps to the side, letting Lucy walk out first. "You liking the movie so far?"

"Let's not talk about the movie." Lucy says making Sam quietly laugh.

Sam pulls up to the British Men of Letters compound and turns the car off.

"Just stay in here, okay?" Sam tells Lucy who nods.

"Being in the front seat is really weird." She quickly comments.

"Well, you're tall enough, so." Sam gives her a quick smile before he gets out.

"Thanks for coming." Mary tells him.

"What's so urgent?" Sam asks.

"Sam... I messed up." Mary states. "I know I messed up. But what the British Men of Letters are doing, this is bigger than us, Sam. We've got a real shot here."
