I quickly went to pick it up and I was caught off guard by what I saw

It was a hearing aid

Is this the reason she didn't hear mr. Park I thought to myself as I ran behind her I stood infront of her

"You dropped these"I said.as she saw it she took it and bowed and tried leaving

"What's your name"I said to her in sign language

I learned sign language when I was a kid so I tried it she looked up at me her face showed surprise and shocked

"What do you want"she signed back

"You won't even thank me I just gave your thing back"

"Thanks" she said leaving

"Jesus what's with that kid you were just being kind"tzuyu said as all of them came to me

"Come on now leave her out of it let's go to the terrace"I said as all of them went to terrace we stood near the edge as it was protected by fence and had best view

"Look"I said pointing at the girl as she quietly sat beside the tree we found it odd as no one actually did that

"She is weird"jeongyeon said

"So are you cringy couple"sana said and jeongyeon ran behind her

"Yah stop"nayeon said and took jeongyeon away yeah they were dating and we supported them although we teased them very much

"She's interesting though"I mumbles

"Wait mina are you interested in her"sana said

"W-what me n-no"I said clearly denying it

"Come on don't be shy we will support you now matter what"she said "and tease you almost everytime"tzuyu added

"Yahh stop it I told you I'm not"we all had lunch and we went to our classrooms

The bell rang for the last time as I packed up and went out with my friends we decided to walk as we all didn't live much far away

"So mina when are you going to date"dahyun asked

"Why do you guys always ask"

"Because we're bored of teasing these two"tzuyu said pointing at nayeon and jeongyeon

"You guys stop"nayeon said

"Now seriously mina if you keep rejecting people like this I am damn sure you will die single like me"jihyo said

"Yah yah come on how will our god jihyo die"sana said joking

"Woah someone's doing something"jeongyeon said as she pointed at dahyun and momo holding hands and they quickly pulled away

"I guess we got a new couple"tzuyu said giving a teasing look

"Yah stop it you guys I-"she stopped as we heard footsteps behind

"Who's that"sana whispered not wanting to look back

"Let's see who wants to get beaten"tzuyu said as she looked back

"Oh you might want to see it mina unnie"she said I looked back and saw chaeyoung looking down at her phone walking

"Why did you say I might want to see"I asked

"I thought you were interested"she said I hit her arm

"Why is she so quiet"nayeon said

"She's mute and probably deaf"I said they all looked at me with confusion

"And how do you know it did you research for your love"jeongyeon said

"No I picked up her hearing aid and last time she didn't speak"I said but recieved teasing

"Oh really how should I believe it"tzuyu said I yelled chaeyoung's name and she didn't respond

"Now you see"I said all of them groaned in frustration

Chaeyoung's pov

I walked to my house as soon as I opened the door I saw my dad drinking

"Dad stop drinking"I signed

"Go away you useless child"he said something I didn't hear it but I read his mouth I took the bottles away as he collapsed I sighed

I put my bag down and started cleaning the mess

While I'm cleaning let me introduce myself

I'm son chaeyoung well I have one friend and she calls me chae or chaeng or baby cub she was my childhood friend although now she was not here because she moved away some months ago

I live with my dad my mom died giving birth to me and I blame myself for that I am atleast glad to my dad that he didn't kill me at birth I did part time jobs because dad didn't had any job

End of introduction

After cleaning it I helped dad to the couch putting him there I took my bag thinking about finishing my homework I soon finished it and started thinking about the girl that I met earlier

'wait why am I thinking about her chae you should better stop thinking 'i thought to myself as I went for my part time job

Next morning

I quickly dressed up after hearing some curses from dad I left for college I accidentally bumped into a girl

"Are you hurt"the girl signed I looked up and it was the same girl

"I'm fine sorry"I signed back as I tried leaving

"Hey wanna have lunch together "she signed

"No I'm ok"i signed "how do you know sign language "I added I looked up and saw her giggle she looked so cute I don't know why but my heart melted

"I studied it"she signed I nodded in understanding

"So let's have lunch together"she signed again
