As I settled into my chair and desk, I found myself immersed in my video games, fingers dancing over the keyboard.
Fatigue was etched on my face, heavy eyelids betraying my exhaustion. "Ugh, I'm so tired..." I murmured, barely able to keep my thoughts coherent.
Before I realized it, my head drooped forward, meeting the cool surface of the keyboard, and I fell into a deep slumber.

.
.
After what felt like mere moments, I jolted awake, disoriented and confused. Blinking rapidly, I surveyed my surroundings, trying to regain my senses.
This was not my room; the familiar posters and clutter were absent. Instead, I found myself in a dimly lit space that felt decades old, dust swirling in the sparse light. My mind struggled to clear the fog of sleep when a voice pierced through the haze.
"Hello? Are you there?"
I felt a wave of unease wash over me.
"She's waking up, relax," said a second voice, attempting to calm the first.
As my eyes focused, two young men came into view. They were strangers to me, yet something about them tugged at my memory, as if I had seen them before in another context.
I stared at them, trying to process what was happening, before a wave of panic surged within me. "W-WHUH?! HUH?! Where am I?!" I exclaimed, my heart racing.
The room I was in looked old and neglected, with dust covering every surface and boards creaking ominously around me. My instincts told me something was off.
One of the guys, the one with the darker hair, stepped forward. "Uhm, it's okay! We won't hurt you! I mean... We don't know where we are either..."
The reassurance in his voice helped me regain a bit of composure, though the shock still lingered.
"Oh, I see..." I managed to say, feeling slightly more at ease, though confusion still clouded my thoughts.
An awkward silence settled among us, stretching for what felt like an eternity. Finally, curiosity overcame my bewilderment. "So, who are you two exactly?" I asked, hoping for some clarity.
The dark-haired boy seemed relieved to be asked. "Oh, my name is Charlie. This is William." He gestured toward the other guy, whose glasses reflected the dim light.
"Mhm." William nodded in acknowledgment, his demeanor calm and reserved.
"What about you? What's your name?" Charlie inquired.
I opened my mouth to respond, but then stopped.
Wait. Something feels off about this place.
"Uhm? Hey? You didn't answer my question..." Charlie's voice was gentle but persistent, snapping me back to the present.
"Wha-? Oh! My name's Bailey."
That's right. My name was Bailey.
As I got to my feet, regaining my balance, I glanced around the dusty room. "So, are there any other people around here? Or is it just us?"
Charlie nodded, his expression serious. "Yeah, the others are outside. We're still trying to figure out how we got here-"
Just then, an ear-piercing scream echoed from outside, startling all three of us.
"AHHHHHHHH!!!!"
"What was that?!" I exclaimed, the anxiety creeping back into my chest.
"That sounded like Austin," William deduced calmly, though you could see the tension in his posture.
