1 week later

It was a night time . Kanao and Aoi were studying in her room . When kanao saw that her snacks are all gone .

"What! Are they all gone already?" She said .

"What happened , kanao?" Aoi asked .

"My snacks , they are all gone --- I am going outside to buy some sn Iiacks" she said , getting up .

"Okay , but come back soon and be careful , bye" Aoi said .

"Bye" kanao said , leaving .

She got out of her apartment and go to convenience store to buy her favorite snacks .

When she entered the convenience store . She saw a familiar figure , a smile appeared on her lips .

"Tanjiro" she called him , waving her hand .

Tanjiro looked at her "kanao?-- hello" he said , smiling .

"What are you doing here?" She asked .

"We are on a study break . But we to go back soon" tanjiro said .

"We?" Kanao asked .

"Yeah , me and my friends . They are waiting outside for me" tanjiro replied .

"Oh" kanao said .

"But what are you doing here?" Tanjiro asked .

"I lived nearby . I came out to buy some snacks" she said .

"I see" tanjiro said .

They both buy their things and leave the convenience store together .

"Tanjiro , can i ask you something?" Kanao asked , looking at him .

"Yeah , kanao" tanjiro said , smiling .

"Why do you always wear this earrings?" Kanao asked , curiously .

"Hmm-- this earrings are our family heirloom . My father passed it to my big brother but he gave it to me" he explained .

"I see" kanao said , nodding .

They were both talking and walking together .

"Tanjiro?" Someone called him .

They looked at the direction , tanjiro friends were standing there . They walk to them .

"Ume?" Kanao called , looking at her .

"Kanao?-- hello , what are you doing here?" She asked , surprised .

"Hello , well i lived nearby . I was out to buy some snacks and coincidentally , I met tanjiro at the convenience store ," she said .

"Oh--- i see" she then looked at tanjiro "tanjiro , we have to go . We are getting late" Ume said , locking her arms with him , tanjiro chuckled , shyly .

Tanjiro looked at Ume "yeah , lets go . Bye kanao , we have to go now" he said .

"Uhh-- bye" kanao said .

They started walking away , kanao looked at tanjiro , who was laughing and talking to her .

'Well , I don't know for sure . But , i think tanjiro also likes Ume . I didn't know he could be shy around someone . But it's understandable , Ume is a total package . She's pretty , confident and also get good scores . Tanjiro will absolutely like her-- But why am I feeling annoyed by this" kanao thought .

Kanao then look at her phone "oh--- it's 9:30 , Aoi will definitely scold me" she muttered and turned back , leaving .

Ume paused and looked back at her , gritting her teeth . She then sighed and walked to others and left .

The next day

5 : 00 pm

Aoi and kanao were sitting at the restaurant eating tteokboki .

"Hey Aoi , Minu asked me to became friends" kanao said .

"Just say no to him" Aoi replied , eating tteokboki .

"But I think we should consider it" kanao said .

"Kanao , I never said it to your face , but i never liked him from the start . He always ignored you even when you were dating . It was frustrating to watch . And now you are thinking of forgiving him" Aoi said .

"But he's changed . I am sure of it" kanao said .

"Kanao , please . He will hurt you again" Aoi said .

"Hello tanjiro--" someone said , walking outside the restaurant .

Kanao hear that and looked at the direction . She saw Ume talking to tanjiro on the phone .

Kanao quickly got up from her chair , Aoi startled .
Kanao picked up her bag and started leaving .

"Hey kanao , where are you going? Are you not going to finish it?" Aoi asked .

"Sorry , I am not feeling well . I think i have to skip cram school today , Aoi" kanao said .

"What? Why are you not feeling well all of a sudden?" Aoi asked .

"I am sorry Aoi , please go without me today" kanao said .

"Sigh--- okay go and get some rest" Aoi said , kanao left .

Kanao walked out of the restaurant and started following Ume .

After following her for 5 minutes . Ume entered in the karaoke . Ume entered the karaoke bar and go into a room no 6 . Kanao followed her into the karaoke bar and sit Infront of the room Ume entered .

'What am I doing here? Why did I even followed her?' kanao thought , getting a reality check .

'I should just go home' she thought , getting up .

She was about to got up , when two girls get out of the room , she paused . They both looked at her .

"O-oops , look like I fell again . Haha . I guess it's true that sprained ankle doesn't heal easily" kanao mumbled , awkwardly .

"You think so too , right? They seem to like each other" the girl said to other , ignoring kanao and walked past her .

"Who Ume and Inosuke?" The other girl asked , kanao looked at them confused .

'But Ume likes tanjiro , right?' kanao thought .

"Yeah , it's so obvious . It's true , They do look together" the other girl said .

"I know , it's so annoying . Like you can't even say anything , because they go together so well" the girl said .

When they left . Kanao got up and leap toward the window taking a peek inside .

'Dating Ume? But she likes tanjiro? Did she lied to me? But why?' kanao thought .

She take a peek inside , she saw many students inside the room and Ume was sitting with a boy who has feminine facial features and has green emerald eyes and raven black to blue hair . He was whispering something in her ear .

She looked at the name tag of his coat . Kanao saw his name written on it .

'Inosuke hashibira? Him?' kanao thought , her eyes widened .

'this beautif--- i mean inosuke hashibira and Ume Shabana will start dating soon? Is there a whole other world at our school that I don't know about . Like Hollywood?' kanao thought .

She was still peeking inside when a boy walked past her . He paused and and stepped back looking at her . She didn't see him .

The boy leaned closer to kanao , looking inside .

"What are you doing here , kanao?" He whispered , chuckling .

Kanao lost her train of thoughts , her eyes widened a little . She looked at the boy beside him . It was tanjiro .
