Time passed by. Everything was magical for Sunghoon. He had Wonyoung who loved him as much as he does. His school life was never affected by anything and his life with the wolves and his brothers was perfect. Still, time passes by fast, and it was soon time for Heeseung to graduate. Heeseung bid his brothers a farewell before leaving to live with Veronica. He went back to taking care of the business that was been taken care of by Veronica, one of their trusted human friends. They had agreed to divide the business's entrepreneurship with each of the brothers after they graduate with Veronica.

But happy times don't last long, Sunghoon knew it from experience. A month or two after he moved in to Veronica's mansion with Jay and Jake he felt it again.

Veronica was a widow, a little above her fifties and she had no children. One morning, Sunghoon knocked on the door of her room to wake her up. He didn't hear an answer, so he knocked again. Not hearing her voice, a panick arose in him and he called her name. Still no answer. He quickly opened the door and went in. Veronica was on her bed, her eyes closed, sleeping as always. But Sunghoon realised how her tanned skin was pale and how her lips had lost their colour. Slowly and carefully, Sunghoon went to her, now noticing how her body didn't rise and fall as usual. He bent down and softly called her name again. His slender and long fingers slowly touched her hand, and he flinched at the coldness. He shuddered, his eyes running down her body. "No..." He whispered feeling weak. Tears welled up in his eyes as he slowly lifted up her numb body, and he sat down, cradling her in his hands. "Heeseung!" He yelled out in his mind, knowing he can't even speak correctly right now. Before a moment passed, Heeseung ran into the room. "Hoon? What is it?" He asked. Then he noticed Sunghoon's tear brimmed eyes and the pale women lying in his arms. Heeseung felt his body tremble as he slowly walked towards them, his breathing uneven. He touched her pulse carefully before falling onto the bed. He took her hand in his own before bursting into tears, Sunghoon following him, no longer able to hold them in. A moment later, Jay and Jake entered the room, feeling how there was a gloom in the mansion. And that is how they all realised, that their only human friend, was no longer with them.

Later, they found that the reason of her death was a relative of hers. She had put a poison in her drink the day before, causing Veronica to pass away eventually. They managed to put that relative in jail for life, giving them satisfaction, a feeling that they managed to give Veronica some justice. The reason of poisoning was obvious, to get her property. But Veronica, being the intelligent old woman she was, had written all of it to the boys, possibly knowing the future.

Two days later, they were standing infront of her grave, sending her their final goodbyes. As Sunghoon kept the bouquet of her favourite flowers, Roses, he remembered the moments when they were happy. She treated them like her own kids despite knowing they were vampires. She took them in when they were giving up. She provided them with everything, including motherly love, which they had never experienced before. They loved her as much. They felt as if they were kids when they were with her, and the hyung line, specially Heeseung and Sunghoon loved her even more than they love each other. Sunghoon backed away as he sniffled, and Sunoo wrapped his arm around his waist as an act of comfort. They stayed for a while before leaving, and Sunghoon was eventually the last left. He looked at her grave and smiled sadly, letting tears fall down his eyes. "Anneyeong... eomma..."

(OK... mmm... don't ask me about this. I just felt like this story is rose tinted. And it needed some sadness.)
