Lunar helped me get dressed the following morning, he was also staying with me in my room to keep me safe.

i looked in the mirror and gasped, "Carlisle outdid himself this time."

I donned a long, flowing dress crafted from blue silk, interwoven with gold that made it glisten with each movement. The neckline sat just below my shoulders, complemented by sheer, billowing sleeves. The bodice, cinched with a gold ribbon, accentuated my figure gracefully.

my long, yellow-blond hair was left loose around my shoulders, giving a slight wave to it. Lunar worked on tying glistening beads of the same blue color into it.

finally, we put my crown on, it was golden but looked like branches interwoven into each other with stones cut to look like leaves and flowers in a stone that looked like it changed color when i moved.

"now, you look like a queen who will kick his ass into shape." Lunar smiled.

"i didnt know you could swear." i laughed as i turned to him, "youll stay by my side?"

"the whole time." he nodded, he too dressed elegantly. he wore black trousers with a green tunic. on top of the tunic he wore a vest, similar to a corset, one of Carlisle's favorite designs for men. his vest was in a glistening turquoise color. he truly looked like the servant of royalty. "remember, you are a queen and i am your servant, i serve only you."

i nodded. "i can do this."

"use your powers to hone your emotions if you have to." he said, "i know you do not like using your powers, but you were given a blessing in this one."

"i dont even know if i can use it on myself." i told him, "i never tried."

"now is a good chance." Lunar said, giving me a reassuring look.

"what if i end up cutting them off?" i asked, scared. "what if i end up like mother did?"

"you are stronger then you know." he assured me. "you are stronger then even your mother, you just need to embrace that. you wont be  overwhelmed by your emotions, you will embrace them."

"i didnt know you thought so highly of me." i laughed.

"Astraea." his face went serious. "when i met you, i thought you were just some spoiled princess that Oberon brought back as a sacrifice. but then seeing that you were willing to give anything to protect those dear to you, that you were ready to give your own life. you showed me that you are a queen, you were always meant to be a queen."

"i did not have a choice in serving Oberon when he made me." he went on, falling to one knee in a bow. "but when he gave me to your father, your father gave me a choice on who to serve. i never told you this, but i chose you. you father allowed it. i am bound to you until my last breath Astraea Darken."

"you.... you chose me?" i muttered, feeling a tear fall down my face. "but im not truly a fairy."

"You possess the powers of both fairy kings," he reminded me, "and you are as much a fairy queen in your own right as they are kings. I believe that if you truly thought about it and tried, you could create your own fairies as well."

"i could?" i looked at my hands as he stood, "i never thought of that."

"you never embraced any of your powers." he pointed out, "sure, you can break fairy law, a power you chose with your dragon blood. and you can control and feel emotions, also thanks to your dragon blood, but you ignored your fairy powers."

"you think i should embrace it?" i asked, unsure of myself.

"you should." he answered. "i have always believed you should. i also think, you will find that you can leave his barrier at any point you chose."

"im not a true fairy." i said once again, "i just have their powers."

"and what is a fairy without their powers?" he asked, smiling, "a no good elf."

"hey now." i laughed. "i am also part elf you know."

"i am aware." he agreed. "but you need to show me, no, us all, that you are more then that. you are the daughter of the Great Dragon, born when she started to transition. but you are also a dragon, human, elf, and fairy. you are a mix of so many races, you have to potential to become one of the most powerful fairies in existence, even more so then Oberon himself."

i nodded, "lets go out there and show him just how true that is."

"hes currently in the throne room accepting audiences with the Dark Fairies." he told me.

"how did you get that information so fast?" i asked with a chuckle.

"because a servant always gets the information his queen needs." he bowed his head. "that and fairies talk, and the palace is full of them right now."

"fair enough." i walked to the door and took a deep sigh. "i can do this."

"i know you can." Lunar assured me once more. "you have me, remember, you are not alone."

i nodded, "thank you Lunar, i dont think i could do this without you."

"i know." he smiled.

"dont bow to him." i told Lunar, "he still thinks of you as his closest and dearest friend. for the time i have left to live, are you willing to forget about those thousands of years of friendship?"

"i am." he answered, "Althaeon told me about your condition, anyone who is willing to harm his wife and unborn child, is no friend of mine."
