We made our way back to my rooms, and the spider girl joined us.

"you have seen how clothing is warn right?" i asked the girl as i dug through my wardrobe, looking for something simple, pulling out a simple black dress.

"i do." she answered. "i see humans wearing them."

"she needs a name Astraea," Lunar told me as i handed the girl the dress.

"you were a orb weaver before right?" i asked, looking at her yellow eyes.

"i was," she answered.

"good," i smiled, "ill call you Aranea, it means spider but sounds prettier. your the first fairy i have made so i think a pretty name suits you."

"it really is an honor to be chosen by you." she smiled, pulling the dress on over her head. "i have watched you for some time, the way you rule really is amazing."

"so you have seen how the servants work?" i asked.

"if that is the roll you wish to give me," she smiled, her dress fitting her perfectly, "then that is the roll ill take."

"i wish for you to be my personal maid." i told her, "i dont trust my husbands fairies, i cannot. not when he attends to kill me."

"but he doesnt." she told me, "he doesnt plan to kill you, i heard him, watched him as well. he does not plan to kill you, he plans to kill himself."

"that doesnt sound right." Lunar spoke, "he wants to be with his sister again, not give himself for her."

"plus he needs a link between bother fairy kings," i told her, "thats me. he needs to kill me and use my body to bring her back."

"i also cannot lie." she shrugged, "im just telling you what i heard."

i thought for a moment, then looked at the two, "i need to go talk to him, wait for me here."

they both bowed as i left the room. i closed my eyes, thinking of where in the palace he could be, we shared a link, i should be able to find him....his study.

i rushed down the hall and pushed open his study door. he looked up from the book he was reading. "can i help you?" i walked over and pulled the book from his hands, "excuse me?"

it was the same book from before, i flipped through it, looking for the page i left off on.

"what are you looking for?" he stood from his desk.

"answers," i told him, "something is not adding up for me, none of this is right."

"what is not right is intruding on my personal space when i have given you yours." he crossed his arms. "you chose to leave me remember, not the other way around."

i looked at him, "do you think i wanted to leave the man i would give everything for? i was willing to give my life for your revenge. but you know this, i feel like i am just saying the same thing over and over with you. you are my everything Oberon, and i will not let it end like this."

i went back to looking through the book, passing the page i had read before, his hand took the book from me, i looked up and he was now standing in front of me, "what answers are you looking for?"

"you dont plan to kill me, do you?" i asked, "you just wanted me to think that because of the wording of my mothers and my questions."

"i was never going to kill you." he admitted.

"your going to kill yourself?" i asked, knowing it was true, "that shouldn't be possible, there is nothing in this book about that."

"Star," his face looked hurt as he used the nickname he has always used for me, "just let me spend this last bit of time i have left with you...."

"no." i answer, pulling from his outreached hand. i held up the book, "i did not come here looking to take you back, i came for this. you have another copy, i threw it at you earlier, im taking this one with me."

"we need to talk about this." he started.

"like you did before?" i snapped. "you didnt though, when i asked to talk about it you asked me to trust you. i dont, i dont trust you Oberon. i cant even say youve lied to me, but you have been doing nothing but bending the truth. i deserve better then that."

"i will tell you everything," he looked like a lost puppy, "but when i do, you need to know that you cannot stop me."

"you still need me for this right?" i asked him.

"i do." he nodded, "i need to take my powers and put them into you, then allow my sister to take my body, it will turn to her form and i will no longer exist."

"and if i run?" i asked.

"i will always find you." he told me.

"will it hurt?" i asked, "will it hurt me or the baby?"

"it will hurt you considerably," he answered. "but the child will remain unharmed."

"you need me to consent to this dont you?" i asked him.

"you will be the one taking the powers in." he told me, "i need you to be the one to do it."

"and if i refuse?" i asked, "then i will kill all of those you hold dear until you do."

"no." i said loudly, "neither thing will happen, i can make a barrier of my own, one i know you cannot break."

"that will put strain on you and harm the child." he warned.

"i will give up our baby if it means you live." i let slip without noticing.

"you wont sacrifice the child to save my sister," he started, "but you will for me?"

"id watch the world burn for you." i told him, "so dont you dare make me."

"i would never forgive you." he said.

"so be it." i shrugged. "i wont do this willingly, and id let you kill every last member of my family to stop you. do not test me Oberon." i sighed, "im still taking this copy with me, good night." i turned and rushed from the room, going back into my own.
