"oh we're still going are we? are we not gonna order food?" Brooklyn said, trying to distract Keegan from teasing her.
Keegan chuckled at her comment, wondering how much longer this bickering back and forth would continue. He loved how quickly she got bored and just wanted things to move on.
"Alright, alright. Lets order something." He sighed, pretending to be annoyed by his own teasing. He picked up his menu.
"the 'annoyed' act won't work on meee," Brooklyn replied, picking up the menu in front of her.
He rolled his eyes, letting out another chuckle as he peeked over his menu at her.
He loved that she called him out on his fake act. He wanted to keep teasing and annoying Brooklyn... but he honestly wanted to order food and hopefully see what her reaction would be if he ordered something for her... a lot of it.. and something he might be able to feed you himself.
"okay Brooke, just shut up and pick out what you want to eat." He replied.
Brooklyn places a hand on her chest, scoffing sarcastically.
"just shut up and order princess," Keegan said, smiling a little bit.
"okay we'll. I can't eat much because of ballet. we have to be a certain weight or we get kicked out," Brooklyn says, lying a little bit. she did however want to stay a certain weight.
Keegan raised his brows, realizing that he was about to learn a new thing about Brooklyn, and also that he'll probably take note of the fact that she can't eat too much. He wanted to keep talking to her to learn more things about her...
He nodded with an interested expression on his face.
"I see... so you have to keep your weight or you'll get kicked out? That sucks. You have to eat right every night?"
"small salads and fruit smoothies every day," brookyln replied.
Keegan felt a bit shocked by this. Of course ballerina's had a weight problem... he knew that because he saw a documentary about it before.
It seemed like a bad system if you wanted to be physically healthy and fit... but he wasn't about to argue or argue with Brooklyn for that matter.
He smirked as he watched her, curious about something.
"And uh... have you ever eaten a burger with French fries and a large coke in your life?"
"I would literally rather die. im joking but like no. and I will never. that shit would kill me," Brookyln stated.
Keegan smirked wider as she replied, nodding and loving her response.
He never knew a woman who preferred to live off small salads and fruit smoothies.
He found it incredibly ironic and funny, almost cute, that while he lived a lifestyle filled with junk food and fast food, which was the complete opposite of Brooklyn... a woman who worked hard to maintain a certain physique by avoiding certain foods and eating very small amounts of everything else.
It was ironic and refreshing.
"I've been eating like this all my life and I would like it to stay that way. I do however get one cheat day a week and I've already had mine," brookyln trailed off, talking about herself again.
Keegan smiled at her reply, glad that she actually got a cheat day per week and feeling a bit excited to find out what she'd eat on that day.
"You get a whole cheat day all for yourself? Hmm.... What's your favorite cheat meal then? Can you tell me that much?"
"it's normally pasta, my dads Italian so we go out for lunch on my cheat days," brookyln replied, smiling.
"Oh, you like spaghetti, huh? So your cheat day always involves Italian food?"
Keegan smiled, loving to see Brooklyn open up more and talk about her habits and such. It was refreshing and new to him.
He could imagine her out with her family, eating spaghetti and having a good time. It seemed so innocent.
"yeah it's normally Italian food," brookyln said, looking back at her menu.
Keegan sighed and nodded, a bit disappointed that he didn't get to hear more details about her cheat meals, but still happy to hear that she loved Italian food.
"Do you drink wine? Or do you avoid alcohol completely?" He asked.
"I can do champagne and that's about it," she replied.
Keegan smiled, finding another thing he found amusing about Brooklyn. A professional ballerina who avoids large quantities of food, avoids alcohol and yet... enjoys champagne.
Funny.
"Good choice. I like that you picked something classy. Do you enjoy eating at fancy restaurants?" He asked, intrigued.
"uh yes, although I rarely get to, it's normally after the last day of big performances all the dancers go out together," she replied smiling.
Keegan nodded along with her words, loving the more info she gives on her life and schedule and habits.
He found it interesting that she mentioned her last performance days and dancers going out as a big thing, but he didn't hear if she participated.
He raised a brow in question, feeling curious.
"So on those big performance days and when you all go out together... do you participate in the after parties or... maybe you don't drink too much, do you?"
"we don't do parties, we all go out to dinner together, have a few glasses of champagne, talk about our lives and then go home and sleep because goddamn last performances are the most tiring," brookyln laughed.
Keegan nodded, feeling relieved that she had a sensible choice of celebrating after big performances. It was a nice thought that Brooklyn and her fellow dancers went out to dinner together, drank a bit of champagne and not go wild or do anything crazy.
It was a more innocent choice and something he loved to hear about.
"I guess you got no time for parties and that sorta stuff, huh? So let me ask you something... I know ballet dancers have a hard time sleeping and some don't get much sleep at all. Do you suffer from insomnia too?"
"no I normally sleep pretty good. I normally go to bed between 7pm and 10pm and wake up at 6am every morning," brookyln trailed off once more.
"Seven? You go to bed at seven? And wake up at six? Damn. You're like a grandpa." He teased, holding back a chuckle.
"after a day full of classes and the gym, yes I go to bed at 7. I also walk my dog every morning, we go on 2 hour walks," brookyln stated. not falling victim to Keegan's teasing again.
Keegan's eyes widened, finding the information he just learned about Brooklyn's habits to be... impressive. Damn. And he thought his regular routine was intense!
He was feeling a mix of admiration and amusement.
He chuckled softly as he replied, wanting to tease you just a bit more.
"Yeah... definitely sounds like something an old man would say. So you live the life of old grandpa and you don't enjoy late night parties and stay up late, you don't eat junk food, and you don't drink alcohol besides champagne.... You're basically a senior citizen!."
