Eavesdropping.
I do it all the time.
To my parents, teachers, siblings, friends, and anybody else I know.
Tonight, my parents told us after we ate dinner to get some sleep.
It was odd.
We never go to bed early.
We hang out with the other 2 neighbor Pods.
Back, a long time ago, most people lived in an apartments or houses. Pods aren't really like houses but they are kind of like apartments. Their are 3 Pods in each building. Their is one on the 1st floor, one on the 2nd floor, and one on the 3rd floor. Our Pod is on the 2nd floor. On the roof of the building, most people have an outdoor lounge.
Anyways, Ryan, Sydney, and I eavesdrop on my parents conversation in my Sleep Room.
"Mary. The Child Iceberg #1 is going south. Today we talked to the Manager of Society and all he wanted to do was have a no crossing force field around it," Father says.
"What about," Mother's voice gets quieter,"Chris?"
"He's good but I'm worried for him. If he sees the Child Iceberg, he'll think that The Society is really real," Father says.
I turn away from the door. Sydney is hearing through my wall and Ryan is asleep.
"Sydney," I whisper. She doesn't quite hear me.
"Sydney," I whisper harshly and she looks at me.
"Sydney, their talking about Chris."
"Yes, Joanna. Do you remember him?"
"Yes. Very well. Ryan does, too. But why are they talking about Chris? It's... Forbidden."
"I know but it's their son."
"But he had and has no future ahead of him."
"Joanna, they still care about him? Wouldn't you if you were them? Do you still care?"
"I do, Sydney. I really do but they signed a paper saying that they think their child has no potential. What if you had no potential?"
She pauses and looks down.
Then she says,"Joanna. I have no clue of how he felt about that."
"Then we need to visit him. You and me."
"Our parents would never approve, Joanna."
"Sydney, I can fill out the parent permission form. I kept three from the one's The Council sends to us."
"Okay," she says,"fill them out and we will make an appointment for the Manager of Society."
"Okay."

"Thomas!" Luke says.
"Yes. Our last name is Thomas and we would like to be sent to our brother's Iceberg as soon as possible," I say looking him square in the eyes.
"But..."
I interrupt him,"No, you will send us to the Iceberg right now!"
"Okay. Garrett will give both of you a Sleep Shot and you will be on your way."
His head bodyguard gave me the shot first. I start to fall asleep. I'm asleep before he gives Sydney her shot.

We wake up on an Iceberg. The Iceberg our brother lives on.
"Well, look who showed up," a figure says while leaning on a wall of the Iceberg.
"Who are you," Sydney says.
"Rachel," the figure says,"Rachel Gardener."
"Where's Chris Thomas," I say.
"He's asleep in the Sleeping Hole."
"What," Sydney and I both say.
"Follow me."
The figure starts walking away.

"Joanna," Chris says. He walks towards me.
"Yes, Chris. It's Sydney and I," I say.
He embraces me.
I was a bit surprised at first but then I didn't want any sort of regret once I died.
"Enough hugging, hard head," Dylan says.
He lets go, finally, and glares at Dylan.
"Anyways, I'm Peter Gardener," says a boy about my age that's at least 5 inches taller than me.
"Well, Rachel and I were thinking about having you guys visit Society and stay their," I say.
"Wow, Joanna," Sydney says,"What are you thinking? It's against The Laws."
"I've got a permission form," I say.

Author's Note:
This is where I'm having a writer's block. What should The Laws include? Right now, I have:
The history of the creation of Society will never appear to you anywhere. It's hidden in a far away place. If you find it, you may never spread rumors about what it says. I'm sorry to say this but here are The Laws Society must follow. If not, the Manager of Society will punish you.
