D3: The Mighty Ducks but with Cursing

Chapter 3

TW: Cursing, Curvy Font, Cole/Varsity, and Linda. Also, Luis being creepy. 

I decided to include a scene from the OG script because it's cute and I love Averman.

Dean Buckley's office is a large, tastefully furnished office. His degrees hang on the walls as do several photos of the DEAN with various VIPS. The ducks are looking at the various images. A picture of Buckley walking with Wayne Newton catches Charlie's eye. "Hey, check it out. He knows Wayne Newton". Ken walks over and stands next to him. "Charlie, man, this is shitty way to start our year". Charlie looks at him; "Don't worry, Kenny. These preppy assholes aren't gonna do anything to us".  Charlie turns around. "Check it out. Antsville". All the ducks are looking at the ants. "Look at 'em go. Whoa" Fulton says. "You can learn a lot from ants". Everyone looks up startled. Dean Buckley appears on the other side of the glass. "These Brazilian fire ants can teach you a lot about successful societal structure. Come here. You see there's one queen in there. The rest are dedicated worker ants. Everybody pulls their weight. Nobody complains. There's harmony and growth. Same here at Eden Hall. Only you are the workers, the backbone". Russ looks at Buckley; "And you're the queen?".  Stifled laughs come from the kids. "Hmm"  the DEAN answers then walks to his desk. "It's time for your first class" he calls over to the ducks.

In math class; Kenny, Russ, Dwayne, Connie, Guy, and Charlie, stare as Mrs. Madigan explains her rules. "Every Monday you'll have a practice quiz, every Wednesday you'll have a real quiz, every Friday you'll have an exam, and anytime I feel like it you'll have a surprise quiz or exam. There will be no calculators or modern calculating devices allowed. You will only have the use of a number 2 pencil.."  She continues on as the kids stare at her in horror. "Holy shit!" Russ whispers

In history class; Julie, Averman, Fulton, Banks, Goldberg and Luiz, watch Mr. Barber, a teacher with a booming voice, as he "demonstrates" history with the aid of two dolls, a giant and a dwarf. "It's been said that the present is to the past like a dwarf on the shoulders of a giant. If the dwarf holds his seat, he can, indeed, see further than the giant. But beware if the dwarf should grow careless and forget his place". He slams his book down on Fulton's desk.  "History is a giant. Get ready to ride". The class is spellbound and scared. Fulton looks over at Goldberg and mouths "what the fuck?".  Goldberg just shrugs.

The ducks are in English class, along with other freshman. The teacher, Angela Delvechi, starts to take attendance. "Lester Averman".  He puts his hand sheepishly, "You can call me Averman".  She nods; "I used to hate the sound of my own name too. An-gel-a.  And I'll tell you a little secret. When I was 14? I changed my name. Well, actually, I just started using my middle name -- Mary. Now, hey, there's a nice uncommon name -- Mary! No more Angela or Angel for me, boy. Just please-don't call~attention-to-me-God-Mary!"  The class stares at her, intrigued. She continues; "Then, one day, a new girl comes to school. All the guys drop dead over her. What's her name? You guessed it! Angela! Wait a minute, holy shit, that's my name!"  The kids laugh. "You know something, Lester Averman? Some of the coolest characters ever have some really strange names. Huckleberry Finn. Hester Prynne. Holden Caulfield. The Great Gatsby. You're going to meet all of them in here. And you're going to see their names are cool because they are cool -- just like you". Lester Averman smiles.

The Bell Rings, the ducks are walking in the hall. Luiz looks at Mindy and starts following her. Rick Riley see's this; "Hey, what the fuck is he looking at?" Luiz is body checked hard into a locker by Cole. Luiz grunts, while varsity laughs. The locker next to him; Josh the sports announcer stands, gathering his stuff. "Ow! A hard check into the board. That has to hurt". Luiz walks away as Kenny walks by. Cole steals his lunch; "All this work makes me hungry". Rick pushes Ken away; "Scram, Bitch!" The other ducks walk by, greeting Kenny. "Hey, Ken". "What's up, Ken?" The ducks walk further down the hallway. "Homework on the first day. Man, I don't fuckin believe it" Fulton says. "Shit, I know. We better be careful or we're gonna learn something here" Goldberg remarks.
