A few years into their marriage, Max and Bradley had built a beautiful life together. They had a cozy home, fulfilling careers, and a strong, loving relationship. But Max felt that something was missing. He had always dreamed of having a family, and he knew that Bradley shared that dream.

One evening, as they sat on the couch, Max turned to Bradley, his heart pounding with anticipation. "Bradley, there's something I've been thinking about for a while now."

Bradley looked at him, curiosity in his eyes. "What is it, Max?"

Max took a deep breath. "I want us to adopt a child. I want to start a family with you."

Bradley's eyes widened in surprise, then softened with love. "Max, I've been thinking about that too. I would love to adopt a child with you."

They spent the next few months researching the adoption process, attending workshops, and preparing their home for a new addition. It was a challenging journey, filled with paperwork and interviews, but they faced it together, their love and determination guiding them every step of the way.

Finally, the day came when they were matched with a little boy named Scout. He was five years old, with bright eyes and a shy smile. Max and Bradley fell in love with him instantly.

The first time they met Scout, he was sitting in a playroom, clutching a stuffed animal. Max knelt down to his level, his voice gentle. "Hi, Scout. I'm Max, and this is Bradley. We're so happy to meet you."

Scout looked up at them, his eyes filled with curiosity and a hint of apprehension. "Hi," he said softly.

Bradley smiled warmly. "We brought you a little gift." He handed Scout a small toy car, which Scout accepted with a shy smile.

As the weeks went by, Scout slowly began to open up to Max and Bradley. They spent time playing games, reading stories, and exploring the world together. Scout's laughter filled their home, bringing a new sense of joy and completeness to their lives.

One evening, as they were tucking Scout into bed, he looked up at them with wide eyes. "Are you my dads now?"

Max felt a lump in his throat, his heart swelling with love. "Yes, Scout. We're your dads, and we love you very much."

Bradley leaned down, kissing Scout's forehead. "We'll always be here for you, no matter what."

Scout smiled, his eyes shining with happiness. "I love you, Dad. I love you, Papa."

Max and Bradley exchanged a look of pure joy, their hearts overflowing with love. They had found their missing piece, and their family was finally complete.
