Evie's POV

The final weeks of school were spent in the hospital wing, something that I was beginning to make a habit of. I began to wonder, if this is how I would end every year here at Hogwarts. Plenty of chocolate and rest was exactly what I needed to recover from the use of the patronus charm and that is what I had.

Sirius recovered and with the help of Fred and George, was able to visit me before he left to go back home to Hope and Lyall.

Once Remus had recovered from his night as a werewolf, and spent a lot of time tending to his wounds, he visited me in the hospital wing.

"We have lots to discuss when we get home Evelyn," he had said. "I'm glad you are recovering well, eating lots of chocolate I hope to build that strength up."

"Of course, I learnt from the best," I try to uplift my tone in compliment to him, to ease the awkward tension in the air.

Remus had just given that small awkward smile before getting up to leave. There was something he wasn't telling me. I could feel it. Sense it. But now was not the time to ask about it. Whatever it is, I'm sure he will tell me once we are home.

Fred and George came to visit me, while I recovered too. They talked of getting me back out there on the broomsticks, which actually filled me with excitement rather than dread, like it used to. That was thanks to them. They couldn't believe that I had produced the patronus charm, and honestly neither could I.

Fred left to give me and George some time to speak alone before we all packed up to go home for the summer, giving his brother a cheeky wink as he left. George was nervous, I could sense that.

"Are you ok Georgie, you're nervous," I asked him gently.

His eyes shot up to mine, "I - erm I'm fine. I've been worried about you," he confessed as his cheeks began to burn. "Can I ask you something? Of course you don't have to answer but I've been so curious."

"Of course Georgie, you can ask me anything," I chuckle softly.

"What was your memory? The happiest one, the one you chose when casting your patronus," he asked carefully, as though he were talking to a dear whom he might scare off.

My fingers begin to knot in my lap. I didn't think that would be the question, and I don't want to lie to him. Is it strange that he was my happiest memory? "I - Oh George you're going to think I'm so strange," I say. "It was you... us... training. All the memories of us training together and you and Fred teaching me to fly, that was the happiest I've been for a long time." I confessed.

His face froze, slowly a smile tugged at the corners of his mouth and he grabbed hold of my hands. "I'm glad that training made you just as happy as it made me," he beamed.

"George we've got to go, McGonagall said dorms need to be packed up and tidy ready for departure after lunch," Fred hollered from the entrance to the hospital wing.

George stood, gave me the sweetest peck on my cheek. "Catch you later E," he whispered before bolting out of the room.

Thankfully, by the time I had made it back to Hufflepuff common room, my bags had been packed, room tidied and cases were down in the entrance of the castle waiting to be transported to the train station ready for our departure from Hogwarts. I, no doubt, had Addie to thank for that.
