Three Weeks Later...

Torryn stood in the full-length mirror; his small bump wasn't as small anymore. He was 11 weeks into his pregnancy and was excited to go into his final month for his first trimester He stares at the ultrasound pictures taped on the mirror. He smiles softly and touches the picture.

He couldn't wait to see his baby form their facial features. He wanted to know if they would look just like him or if the old wives' tale was true and they would come out looking like Ares.

He doesn't hate Ares. He's just keeping his distance from him. The only time he contacts him is when he goes to an ultrasound. He sends him all the ultrasounds and the ultrasound videos showing their baby's growth. Ares tries to talk to him, but Torryn ignores him. He needed to focus on their baby.

With him focusing on their child, he's been distancing himself from everybody, including his best friend, Andrés. He just wanted to get mentally healthy for the baby. He was able to get an appointment with a therapist. He had a lot of things bottled in, and he needed to talk to a professional about them then, calling on Ares or Andrés about his pain.

"Awwww, look at your bump." Andrés hums. Torryn turns around to see Andrés standing at the door with his arms folded. His hair was down with two braids connected in the middle. He wore a blue floral ankle-length sundress that had a high slit and brown gladiator sandals. Torryn chuckles, pulling down his pink Floyd graphic t-shirt.

"You're wearing a dress?" Andrés enters the bedroom, chuckling.

"Yes, it's hot." Torryn shakes his head.

"What are you doing here," Andrés sits on Torryn's bed and pouts.

"Well, I missed you. You haven't been returning any of my calls. I was worried about you." Torryn sits beside Andrés, smiling.

"Well, I was going to still see you at the cookout." Andrés rolls his eyes.

"How was I supposed to know that? If you're not answering my calls." Torryn nods.

"Yeah, you do have a point there." A soft silence fills the room as Andrés plays with his hair, looking over at Torryn.

"Can I ask you something?" Torryn nods.

"We're still gonna be friends after the baby is born." Torryn's eyes widen, shocked by that question. He chuckles, thinking Andrés was joking, but his pout says otherwise.

"Yeah, You're always going to be my best friend, Des." Andrés looks over at him happily and hugs Torryn.

"Great! I was scared I was going to lose a niece or nephew!" Torryn chuckles, hugging him back.
