"You don't really seem fond of her." Jimin points out the obvious hoping this won't lead to an argument.

"She's not my favorite person." He admits honestly.

"Well that's pretty obvious... did she do something to you?" He asks trying to get a sense of why he dislikes her so much.

"Not anything in particular. I just don't like that she tries to be like... my mom. She's not even close." Jungkook rolls his eyes just saying the words.

"No one can replace your mom Kookie." Jimin is so careful about the words he chooses. Sometimes it feels like Jungkook is a ticking time bomb with all the anger he has.

"My dad is completely in love with her and she just acts like I'm her son. It bothers me." The older takes a second before he says his next question.

"Do you think maybe... she's just trying to connect with you? It can be hard trying to be a step parent." Jimin cautiously asks and the younger is slowly becoming more irritated with this conversation.

"I don't need a step mom and I don't need her to connect with me." Jungkook says sharply not even trying to hide his annoyance.

"I get your hesitation but-" Jimin tries to be caring and understanding until Jungkook snaps.

"But fucking what? She's not my mom Jimin. I don't want nor do I need anything from her." He scowls as him grip on the steering wheel gets tighter.

"Okay." Jungkook can tell by Jimins response that he said something too harsh. He sighs and curses himself in his head as he continues to drive. A few minutes pass by before the man in wrong speaks up.

"I'm sorry." He apologizes and Jimin decides that isn't enough to forgive him this time.

"You are always fucking sorry." The boy rolls his eyes and refuses to look Jungkooks way. He's not gonna just let the man walk all over him.

"Jimin I really didn't mean to freak out on you. I just really hate Veronica." He still dismisses the man crossing his arms and looking out the window.

"Are you ignoring me?" Jungkook whines making Jimin cut his eyes at him.

"You deserve to be ignored you idiot." There's a part of Jimin that just wants to punch Jungkook in the face. He never seems to think about Jimins feelings before speaking and that heavily bothers him.

"That's fair." Jungkook falls silent waiting for the other man to cool off before saying anything else.

"Do you... still want me to come with you?" Jungkook says as he parks at the restaurant and Jimin gathers his things.

"No." Is all he says before opening the door and climbing out of the car.

"Are you seriously that mad at me?" Jungkook complains with a slight pout as the man turns back around.

"Yes." He slams the door shut and starts to walk away. He's really tired of being Jungkooks verbal punching bag.

"Jimin." He calls but the older completely disregards him and continues towards the door. Jungkook just lets his head fall softly on the steering wheel.
