third POV

[ the italics are jungkooks thoughts ]

"Tell him I said I'm taking care of it." Jungkook stresses hanging the phone up and leaning back in his office chair. He's been keeping a secret for a while now that almost no one knows about.

It's known that the Jeon family have a lot of money and that makes them the perfect prey for money hungry criminals. In the last year he's gotten money stolen from him twice. A lot of money. People have hacked into his accounts and even held him at gun point.

He's never felt as powerless than he did in those moments. So since then he's been forming his own army little by little to gain security and allies. It eventually became such a big group that he had to buy a whole warehouse for their meetings.

Now it's just where they all hang out and they've become pretty close. But everyone follows Jungkooks orders as he's the one who made the group and is really gracious towards them. Even though he still has his cold demeanor. They benefit protection, shelter and community wise. Not to mention Jungkook makes sure they are all well taken care of financially.

Just before the man stands up his phone starts to ring. He's almost certain it's Jimin and he sighs at that.

"Jungkook-ah where are you?" He's clearly upset but the younger can't say anything right now. He needs Jimin to stay away.

"I'm busy." He responds dryly.

I want to tell you but will it put you in more danger?

"Busy doing what?" He just sounds so sad as he speaks. Jungkook doesn't even want to be on the phone anymore.

Please just wait for me to figure this all out

"I'm just busy. What do you want?" He says quickly and firm feeling incredibly guilty on the inside.

I'm sorry but you need to stay away from me

"I need you to explain why you keep randomly leaving." He has people surrounding him in his office. They're all so quiet everyone can hear his conversation. So Jungkook keeps any type of sympathy to a minimum. He can't let them know he has a soft spot for someone.

"Why is it any of your fucking business?" He knows this will probably mean their relationship whatever it is will be over. And he thinks maybe it should be if it keeps Jimin safe.

I have no choice

"What do you mean it's not my business? You walk out on me with no explanation! You're wasting my time! I don't have to deal with this shit." Jungkook is quiet and takes a big gulp before speaking knowing his next words will be hard to come back from.

"Then don't. I don't care." He says hating the way he can picture Jimin crying after hearing sniffles. The words really hurt him to say but he can't tear up right now.
