She wandered through the ornate halls until she reached the kitchen, where the delicious aroma of cooking filled the air. As she entered, she was surprised to see a peculiar monster sitting at the table, devouring a hearty meal.

Curiosity got the better of her, and she approached him. "Who are you?" she asked, tilting her head in intrigue.

The monster paused, looked up from his plate, and smirked. "Why would I tell you?" he replied cryptically, his eyes glinting mischievously. With that, he stood up and sauntered away, heading toward a hallway that led deeper into the palace.

Just as Elara was about to call after him, a nearby servant appeared, noticing her confusion. "Don't mind him," the servant said with a knowing smile. "That's Kael, the Master's nephew. He can be a bit... enigmatic."

"Elara," she introduced herself, trying to mask her disappointment at Kael's abrupt departure. "I just arrived and wanted to learn more about everyone here."

The servant nodded, understanding her eagerness. "Kael has always been a bit of a mystery, even to those of us who serve the Master. He's not like the other monsters, and he often prefers to keep to himself. But don't worry, you'll get used to the quirks of this palace."

Elara watched as Kael disappeared down the corridor, a flicker of curiosity igniting within her.
