After the ceremony, the atmosphere in the palace buzzed with excitement and celebration. The newly appointed royal guards mingled with nobles and dignitaries, their insignias glinting in the candlelight, symbolizing their commitment to the kingdom. Hyunjin and Yongbok stepped into the festivities, their hearts still racing from the adrenaline of their recent achievements.

"Let's enjoy this moment, Your Highness," Hyunjin suggested, a smile breaking through his previously serious demeanor.

"Yeah, we've worked hard for this," Yongbok replied, a hint of warmth in his voice.

As they navigated through the crowd, Hyunjin couldn't help but feel a sense of belonging. People approached them, congratulating them on their success, clapping their hands and praising their efforts during training. Hyunjin felt a swell of pride at the recognition, but deep down, he was acutely aware of the subtle tensions that remained—especially between him and Yongbok.

They found a quieter corner of the hall, where a lavish spread of food and drinks awaited them. Hyunjin grabbed a goblet of fruit punch, savoring the sweetness as he watched the festivities unfold. It was an exhilarating sight, and he felt like he was finally part of something greater than himself.

Yongbok leaned against the wall, his arms crossed, observing Hyunjin, who seemed to have been in a thoughtful expression. "What's on your mind, Hyunjin?" he asked, turning to face him.

"Just... wondering how things will change now that we have these titles. It feels different," Hyunjin replied, trying to gauge Yongbok's mood.

"Different good or different bad?" Yongbok asked, taking a sip of his drink.

"Good, mostly. But I can't help but think about the responsibilities that come with it. We're expected to act a certain way now." Hyunjin's brow furrowed, and Yongbok could see the weight of expectation pressing down on him.

"Hey, we'll figure it out together," Yongbok reassured him. "We've come this far, and we're strong. We can handle whatever comes next."

Hyunjin smiled, and for a moment, the earlier tension between them faded. "You're right. Together."

Just then, a familiar voice broke through the crowd. "Hyunjin! Your Highness!" It was In-Yeop, rushing toward them, a broad grin on his face. "I can't believe you both did it! You're guards now!"

"Thanks, hyung!" Hyunjin replied, feeling a warmth spread through him at his brother's enthusiasm. "It still feels surreal."

"I knew you could do it! You've always been strong!" In-Yeop beamed, pride evident in his eyes. "I'm so happy for you both."

Yongbok straightened up, maintaining a regal demeanor. "Thank you, In-Yeop. Your support means a lot to us."

As they spoke, Hyunjin noticed a group of nobles nearby whispering and glancing in their direction. He couldn't make out the words, but their expressions hinted at judgment and curiosity. A pang of insecurity gripped him. Would they still see him as a commoner, even with the title? Would they respect him?

"Don't let them get to you," Yongbok said, catching the direction of Hyunjin's gaze. "You've earned your place here."

Before Hyunjin could respond, the king stood to give a toast, commanding the attention of everyone in the hall. "To our new guards," he began, raising his goblet high, the queen and Minho following after. "May your loyalty and courage protect our kingdom. Together, we will face whatever challenges come our way!"

The crowd echoed his sentiment, and Hyunjin felt a surge of pride swell in his chest. They were no longer just commoners or trainees; they were guards, protectors of the realm.
