Chapter : Dun Pack

The sal forests of Uttrakhand towered gracefully, stretching endlessly towards the sky and their verdant green leaves formed a dense canopy that lets only dappled sunlight touch the forest floor.
The air was rich with the earthly smell of damp soil.
One could see the breathe taking valleys emerge as the forests open up, with borders of mist covered mountains. Beautiful rivers came down and added to a serene beauty of the forested valley.

While the forests were famous for the famous Royal Bengal Tiger, what remained hidden from the human was presence of another mystic creature.
The Werewolves! Even the tigers stayed away from them. Well unlike humans Tigers actually can sense werewolves.

The Dun Pack lived in the mountainous forested regions of the area, Thanks to these tigers and also the endangered elephants, the forest were protected by the government. Else who knows, human could just uproot entire forest!

The packed shared living space with other human tribes. Some members of pack even lived adjacent to few polyandrous protected tribes like Jaunsaris, though the werewolves society are themselves strictly patriarchal.

The Duns specially, were highly patriarchal. Giving most power of select group of male members including alpha, betas and gammas and senior elders. The elder women were respected but in general women had few rights. But seems like moon goddess cursed them to comprehend the importance of women.

The pack lost their previous Luna. And current one hasn't found his destined mate yet. It have been fourteen years since the pack has a new pup. Although, few couples left the pack joined a new one and came back with a pup but still, without a Luna, it is imperative the pack might not survive.

Characters in our Dun Pack

Tanishq :
Our hero and Alpha of Dun pack.
Searching for his mate. He is 24 already and that's too late for werewolf to be without mate.
The most powerful in the region. Avoids unnecessary wars. But wields his influence over his pack not just by his courage and walking the talk but also by his Iron Hand of Strength.

For humans, he is an Hotelier. As the region teems with tourists he has few properties in the near by areas as well as in the main city. The pack basically earns from the tourism that flourishes owing to the serene beauty of himalayas and wildlife sanctuaries in region.
His earns enough to influence the politics in the region and yet not so much as to garner unnecessary attention of the human population.

Our man therefore is the one desirable not only to wolf women, but also human ladies 😉😉

Arav:

Beta of Dun pack. A month younger to his Alpha, he is second most powerful wolf of his pack. But as his name, he is really patient. Resorting to violence only if it is needed most.
Has a mate he loves the most, Kaya 20 , bubbly yet confident women.

The two are most loved couple of the town! Yet 😏.

Samar:

Beta of Dun. He is younger, 23 years old.
He too hold immense strength and unshakable bravery but his temper flares really quick, sometimes even blinding his judgement.

Has a mate, cute and simple Misha 19 . Only she can control his anger, or ofcourse the Alpha.

Since the two betas need to be close to Alpha, they are on payroll of Tanishq's properties, as managers.

Advik :

Gamma and 22.
Has Business of Jeeps , leading tourists on safari to national parks. Has many jeeps in Jim corbett and Rajaji national park.

Yuvaan:

Gamma and 22. Has mate Arohi 18. Tanishq has helped them set up a restaurant in the region, as Arohi was orphan and alone, Yuvaan's previous job required more time away from her.
The two work together.

Ishaan :

Gamma and 21. Got employed as a government servant in forest guards.
His mate Sarika, is housewife for humans but the most agile fighter among all gammas. Help Tanishq in training fighters.

Rudra:

He is only 20 and youngest of all. Yet to find his mate. He is in dun medical college. He is pack's pride and on way to become a doctor.

Others:

Ira:
Aunt of Tanishq and mother of Arav.
She took care of Tanishq when his parents died.

Shyla:
Shaman. And also a professional medical practitioner. Her husband was beta to previous Alpha.
She is doctor to the pack. Has a clinic of her own.
