Chapter : Hemis Pack

Nestled in the majestic Himalayas, the Hemis forests are a blend of untamed nature and pristine wilderness. Tall pine trees dominated the region and were covered in blanket of glistening snow for most part of the year.

A myriad of wildlife, including Hangul,Tahr and the notable, elusive snow leopard lived in the region.

Both the forests and the pack were named after the Hemis River, tributary of the mighty Indus. Unknown to all, the once famous pack hid itself from the werewolf world.

Unlike the Duns, and the other packs, the Hemis always had history of peace.
They were influenced from the Buddhist tradition. Even few Gompas knew about their identity. But this nonviolent behaviour unfortunately was seen as cowardice. As you see, werewolf's equate aggression with fortitude and their neighbours from China actually saw them as bunch of idiots.

The peace treaty was violated and Xian pack attacked them on a mundane night. The Alpha managed to save pack's children and few elder members but most warriors of the pack, including women died in war.

The werewolf world banished Xian pack and cut all ties with them. Rumours are that the war was due to Xian's Alpha's desire to get a second mate. As his first one died.

The exact cause remained unknown to the outsiders and only few elders knew the reason.

Priyal, and her Betas did not knew the reason. After all, she was crowned Alpha just few months back. But since she was Alpha (and Luna), the pack did had healthy pups, although most were born in last one or two years when most members turned 18.

The present Gompa in monastary knew about the pack and it's reality. The pack sheltered itself on the edge of forests and buddhist tribes in the region.

They sheltered themselves from the outside wolves by masking their scent. Another secret not known by many. They used lichens from the region to prepare their secret concoction and merged with human population where even other wolves won't ever recognise them!

Characters in Hemis Pack

Priyal:

Our Lead and Alpha of Hemis Pack. She was daughter of previous Alpha.
Raised by her uncle and aunt after losing both her parents. She is 18 and young and dynamic.
Since the pack had to hide their identity, they lived quietly unnoticed by the world by being employed in small works.

Her aunt Tara had a small shop where she stitched fabric. Making cushion pillow covers etc. Though Priyal helped her aunt in her shop, but always wanted to become a doctor.

She gave entrance exam and got admission in Dun college.

Daksh :

19 years old and her Beta. Strongest in the pack. Can defeat Priyal in battle but is loyal to pack. Also a student but interested in engineering. Deliberately took admission in Dun engineering college to be close to Priyal.
Has a mate Riva 16. Cute school girl. Well Riva is yet to know that cause she is not 18 yet.

Vyom :

18 years old and Beta of the pack. Intelligent and really smart. Wasn't interested in being a doctor but only took admission in medical college for Priyal.
He is the smartest and brightest one, he could have taken up any other career as easily. But safety of Priyal requires him to be in Dun college now and he chose medicine as well.
Has not yet found his mate.

Ranveer:

Has strength after both his betas. He is gamma and is 17. He will too join Dun college in arts stream.

Atleast the community believe Anaya is his mate. But the moon goddess will only reveal once he turns 18.

Yuvan 16 and Veer 17
Are the other two gammas, they along with other members are required to stay back.
To help the elders in the pack.
Since no one knows the pack exists, there is almost zero chances of attack.
Plus colleges at their place are not that good.

Tara:

Priyal's aunt, and Daksh's mom. Owns a stitching shop.

Arjun:

Priyal's uncle and Daksh's father. Owns a small car repair shop. Works closely with army. As the region is also a border region of indo china and indo pak.

Maya and Arihant :
Omegas 22 and 23. Already in Dun college. Maya is in medical branch and arihant is in engineering.

Other characters will be introduced as when the story proceeds.
