The school buzzed with the aftermath of the tragic news about Jukyung. While most students were preoccupied with hushed whispers and judgment, Seojun and Suho remained blissfully ignorant of the growing storm around them. They continued their passionate romance, wrapped up in each other, enjoying every stolen moment.
However, the calm didn't last long. Jisoo, one of Seojun's friends, had been digging for answers about the rumors surrounding Suho. Disturbed by the news of Jukyung's death, she felt compelled to reach out to Seojun. She knew they had been getting closer, and the thought of Suho's dark past weighed heavily on her mind.
One afternoon, Seojun was lounging in his room, casually scrolling through his phone, when a notification lit up his screen. It was Jisoo calling him. He answered with a nonchalant tone, expecting the usual banter.
"Hey, Seojun! We need to talk. It's serious," Jisoo said, her voice tense.
"What's up? Did you find out what kind of gossip they're spreading about me now?" Seojun chuckled, brushing off the gravity of the situation.
"It's not about you. It's about Suho," she replied, her voice low and urgent.
Seojun's smile faded. "What about him?" he asked, now fully attentive.
"I've heard some things," Jisoo said, her tone shifting to something more somber. "There are whispers about his past. I think you need to know the truth."
"What are you talking about?" Seojun's brow furrowed in confusion.
"Suho was supposed to be a psycho," Jisoo revealed, her voice shaking slightly. "He... he killed his whole family. They say he targets beautiful people, turning them into dolls. I don't want to scare you, but you need to be careful."
Seojun felt a strange mix of disbelief and intrigue. "Are you serious? This sounds like some twisted urban legend," he scoffed, rolling his eyes. "You think I care about his past?"
"Seojun, this isn't a joke! You need to listen to me!" Jisoo pleaded, desperation creeping into her voice. "He could be dangerous! You're getting too close, and I don't want you to end up—"
"I said I don't care!" Seojun interrupted, irritation flaring. "Whatever he did in the past doesn't matter to me anymore. I know who he is now, and I like him. That's all that matters."
Jisoo sighed heavily. "But you're playing with fire. You have to understand that people don't just change overnight. This is serious!"
Seojun shrugged, unconcerned. "So what if he has a dark past? Everyone has their demons, Jisoo. I'm not scared of him; if anything, I find it thrilling. I trust him."
"Trust him? After what you just heard?" Jisoo's voice was filled with disbelief. "You need to think this through!"
"I don't need your warnings," Seojun said, a smirk dancing on his lips. "I can handle myself. If he's really as dangerous as you say, then I'm more than capable of protecting myself. Besides, I like the excitement."
Jisoo felt a knot form in her stomach as Seojun's dismissive attitude settled over the conversation. "Just promise me you'll be careful, okay?" she finally said, her voice softening with concern.
"Sure, whatever you say," Seojun replied, his tone light and teasing. "But don't worry too much. I've got it all under control."
With that, he ended the call, tossing his phone aside. A part of him appreciated Jisoo's concern, but he brushed it off. The thrill of being with Suho outweighed any warnings.
As he lay back on his bed, a smile crept across his face, excitement bubbling within him. He didn't care about the rumors or Suho's past. All that mattered was the connection they shared—the passion that ignited between them.
Little did he know that Jisoo's words would linger in the back of his mind, a shadow creeping closer, waiting for the moment to reveal the truth that could shatter the fragile world he had built with Suho.
