As silence took over the room again, Kaya who was feeling sluggish after crying too much wanted to take a rest. Sebastian excused himself from the room.

But, before Kaya could close the door, Sebastian turned and asked for her permission. "Kaya, I know you've had a bad day today, but do you still want to accompany me to tonight's gala? If you're tired and just want to take a rest, it's okay."

Kaya was tired; her eyes might have looked swollen after all the crying she had done, yet she couldn't say no to the only man who kept protecting her and caring for her like she was the most valuable thing in his world.

"Yes, I will still accompany you. I'm tough; I can't handle being almost killed before and still be the gorgeous fiancée of the best man in the world," Kaya said with a smile. Sebastian narrowed his eyes after Kaya mentioned the word "killed". "Sorry, I won't mention anything like that again," Kaya apologized, knowing her words were hurtful to Sebastian.

Sebastian patted Kaya's head and told her that Emily would help her get dressed for the night before leaving Kaya to rest. Kaya closed the door and jumped onto her bed, letting out a growl that sounded like a wounded animal. She couldn't believe how comfortable she was with Sebastian.

Now Kaya was really curious how all of his ex-girlfriends had not melted under the way Sebastian acted. He was basically the prince charming that every woman wanted. The way he interacted with his elders and his staff, how he kept protecting Kaya, and how he maintained his composure while solving problems were qualities not many men could possess without losing their hearts.

Kaya slapped her cheeks to motivate herself to be a better fiancée for Sebastian. She needed to support him in the best possible way. She got off her bed to find ice to compress her swollen eyes. She needed to prepare herself for the Gala. She needed to be a defined, elegant fiancée for Sebastian.

"What are you doing in front of your laptop, Kaya? We need to get ready quickly," Emily said, annoyed because Kaya was glued to her laptop writing something on a piece of paper.

After fixing her swollen eyes, Kaya was researching Sebastian's company project. She read every article and watched every interview about the project to ensure she didn't miss any information.

"Wait a bit; I'm almost done. I need to finish this first," Kaya said, writing faster than before to complete it quickly before Emily pulled her away. Kaya stood up when she was finished, she smiled broadly, took the gown from Emily's hand, and went to the bathroom to change.

Sebastian had chosen a gown in black and latte color. The top of the dress was a creamy latter color layered with black organza neatly folded with a heart-shaped neckline. The bottom was all black silk with a slit on the right. The sleeves were open bell sleeves with cuffs, joined at the elbow like an ancient goddess from Greece. She topped it off with a black silk choker with a gold pendant and black strap heels.

"Shut the front door! Kaya, you are absolutely beautiful. Sebastian is going to flip!" Emily exclaimed with a big smile face on her face. Kaya blushed hard; she wouldn't even need makeup to create them. As she looked at the mirror, she felt stunning. Sebastian really had great taste when it came to her wardrobe, she felt butterflies in her belly every time a situation like this happened.

Kaya and Emily entered the living room, where Sebastian and Alex were waiting for them. Sebastian and Alex stopped their conversation and stared at Kaya and Emily.

Now they are all like a couple of angels and demons, with Alex wearing a white creamy suit attire and Emily wearing a white strapless gown that hugged her body well giving her the silhouette she always had but hiding it, contrasting with Sebastian who wore a black tuxedo and Kaya's.
