~Prologue~

Kairi was on a rare night out with her best friend, since forever, Jah'Mena. 

Jah'Mena, or Jah as Kairi loves to call her, wanted to take her friend out to get her mind off that no good ex of hers. Kairi has just ended her 3 year relationship with her ex after finding out he was cheating. 

"Come on girl lets go get another shot" Jah pulled Kairi with her back over to the bar for what seemed the 100th time. Jah leaned over the bar-top getting the bartenders attention. 

She order them another shot of tequila, tonight's drink of choice. As quick as the bartender sat down the shots was as quick as the girls downed them with ease. 

Throughout the night the best friends continued to have fun with one another. They were on the dance floor when Jah peered over to a VIP section and noticed a really handsome guy staring down her best friend. 

She smirked as she leaned down in her friend's ear. "Looks like you caught somebody attention"

Kairi looked at her best friend, furrowing her eyebrow. Jah nodded her head towards the section.

Kairi turned locking eyes with the handsome individual. Damn he's fine. She couldn't help but think. 

They stared at each other for a while before the guy leaned over talking to his friend before making his way out the section. 

Kairi immediately got nervous, sensing her friend flight or fight Jah immediately took hold of Kai's hand to keep her seated.

"Girl where are you going?" 

"Jah I can't do this" Kai stated, nervousness all in her tone. 

"Why not, girl you finally left that lame Leek go. Plus you a bad ass bitch its time for new dick" she peered over Kai shoulder then quickly looked back at her "here he comes"

Kairi then felt a slightly tap on her shoulder. She froze for a millisecond before she turned around meeting the fine man from earlier.

"How you doing ma?" Kairi took in his raspy voice, hating to admit how much of a hold it had on her so soon. 

She quickly shook out of her trance sending him a smile "I am good how are you?"

"I'm doing good, just seen ya' and had to come talk to ya' beautiful" Kairi blushed as she looked down at her empty shot glass before returning the eye contact. "I'm Isayah"

"I'm Kairi"

"it's just you and your friend?" he nodded towards Jah who was pretending to not listen. 

Kairi nodded her head softly before replying "Yeah it's just us"

"Why don't y'all come hang out in our section"

Kairi looked over to Jah'Mena who didn't hesitate to nod her head. Kairi rolled her eyes towards her best friend before turning back to the fine specimen in front of her. "Sure why not"

He held out his hand for her that she gladly took. She turned grabbing Jah's hand before they made their way through the crowd being lead by Isayah. 

Once they made it to his section they were engrossed in a large group of people. Isayah sat down pulling Kairi right beside him. He grabbed a bottle of Lunazul pouring up another shot for the girls.
