"W-we have to talk" she stated in a shaky voice. She cleared her throat looking away a bit. "Uh two years ago that night-"
The sound of the backdoor sliding opened pulled their attention from one another. Jon peeking his head in. "Aye man bring y'all asses back"
Isayah smacked his teeth waving his cousin off "we coming back uce"
Jon nodded, leaving the two in the kitchen alone again. "A'ight what was you bout to say?"
Kairi shook her head "it was nothing" she gave him a small smile before he laced their fingers together pulling them back outside with everyone.
After a while she heard the faint sounds of Zaire waking up over the baby monitor. Isayah quickly got up "I'll go get him" Kairi nodded sitting back. Shortly Isayah returned with the smiling baby.
When Isayah placed him in Kairi's lap he began whining reaching out for Isayah. Kairi playfully poked out her bottom lip "You don't want to be with mama?"
Zai continued whining til Isayah grabbed him and he immediately stopped. "Such a traitor"
"Aye don't be hatin', tell her little man don't be hatin'" Zaire cooed as if he knew what he was saying. Leaving everybody to bust out laughing. "You headin' out?"
"Yeah it's getting late and I have to get him feed and back to bed" Isayah nodded offering to walk them out.
She said goodbye to everyone, before walking out to her car with Isayah carrying Zaire. He placed him in the carseat when he started whining again.
"Aye little man cut allat out you gon' see more of me I promise you" that seemed to calm the baby instantly as he stopped whining staring up at the man. "be good for yo' mama"
Isayah buckled him in placing the baby bag in the passenger seat. He leaned on the side of the car wrapping his arms around Kairi's waist. "Ima be busy on the road for the next month but when I come back I want us to go on a date"
"I'd like that" she gave him a small smile as he licked his lips. His eyes falling to her lips slowly leaning in. They kissed for a few moments, Isayah tightening his grip on her waist.
Kairi pulled away pecking his lips a few times. "I'll see you when you get back" she leaned up for another kiss before he opened her door for her. He waited til she was completely in, shutting her door.
