-DISTRACTIONS AREN'T YOUR BFF-
PAMELA RADEVA'S POV
I storm into the living room. "Bitchez, buckle up!" No one but my girls are occupying the space. What's new? But nonetheless good! Less people, less questions...
"What's with the hassle, Pam?" Raya groans from the couch. Eva doesn't even bother facing me, she's wrapped comfortably in her plushed-up mango blanket, you could barely make her face—her deshelled blond strands being the very reason of it.
"Deva is bringing a special guest over." I close the door and pause in front of their tv, blocking my besties' view.
Eva finally spares me a glance. Gosh her eyebags are getting worse. Her left sapphire eye contrasting the demons around it. I'd scold her to go to sleep after we're done.
"The suitor?" Raya's eyebrows arch with curiosity, her smile curling into a teasing grin.
"Oh, they met, but he isn't who she's coming back with." I slap Raya's feet off the glassed table.
"There's popcorn suffering there!"
Eva chuckles at my unserious scolding.
Raya controls an upcoming outburst with the simple roll of her emerald and sapphire eyes, "She hasn't even brought the suitor here. Who else is of such importance?" She carries the previous topic forward.
"Honestly, I don't know who either! Deva was super secretive about it and ordered to clear the headquarters by tonight. Exactly at midnight." I repeat myself, finally having the wheels of their brains spinning.
"The time has come, huh?" Eva finally spoke.
"The plain hour." Raya bites her bottom lip in agony. I don't blame her. She has all the right to be anxious. Deva never used the plain hours for any of our meetings. We always had them at odd minute-time-frames, while the even minutes were left for traitors. The plain hours were left for the life and death situations. And weirdly enough for the eight years I had known Deva, such meeting never occurred until—tonight.
"But, I don't get why would she needs the headquarters empty?" Eva scratched her head like a maniac.
"Is she bringing the pope?" Raya scoffs.
"After your rendezvous with half of our capos everywhere, we are in need of Christening the place."
I wink and walk backwards with the exit as my aim, knowing Raya could jump at me any moment.
"Hey! Don't hate the player, hate the game." She sends me a flying kiss instead, lazy ass.
"So, how do we get rid of everyone, sis?" Eva plasters a sinister smile. Freakydy fuck! I get goosebumps from it! She can act like a baby most of the time, but the moment she does that serious switch, jokes aside, it's work time.
"Tell everyone Iniko and the snake are throwing another party at their club, Tranquillo. Free drinks, girls. You know whatever works their fantasies." I speak before I think about the aftermath, but this is the only and quickest way to clear the headquarters. I can deal with the two lunatics later...
"Your ex will be ecstatic for sure!" Raya laughs, clearly amused by my doom.
"Eriks is likely to burst into our headquarters causing way more commotion than everyone here combined."
Eva voices out her concerns.
"A fact!" Raya slows down her laughter.
"But! If he is supposed to meet me some place else. We'd have the whole night trouble free." I grab my phone and begin to form my compelling lies.
