Kawaki POV

I was in math class. I was paying attention but still couldn't understand anything, fuck it I'm going to fail anyway.
As the teacher puts the equation on the board. The teacher called on someone. I look fowored and see her getting up.
My old friend Sumire. When I saw Eida bully Sumire. I was pissed. I reported Eida to the headmistress right away. When we started talking I felt an old spark again. A spark I had when we were best friends. But my dumb ass wanted popularity over her friendship. As she got all the answers right ,the bell rang. Finally, math is over.
"Kawaki and Sumire can you 2 stay behind?" The teacher called out. We sat back down . Everyone left except me and Sumire.
"So Kawaki you are failing math,again. If you don't get your grade up you will repeat this year AGAIN" oh fuck,no. I will die If repeat again.
"I mean teacher you could ask him something easy for a passing grade" Sumire spoke softly. I look at the teacher .
"Sumire ,angel you will tutor him for 1 or 2 months " as the teacher said that Sumires jaw dropped.
"Um,can I deny ?" Sumire spoke looking at her lap.
"You can . But Kawaki will be repeating a year" Sumire and I were looking at her like what??
" You have 3 minutes to diced while I make a call. "As the teacher leaves, I sit closer to Sumire.
"Listen ,I know we aren't close,but I beg you accept this" her eyes were looking at me. She sighed.
"Okay,I will. To repay you from saving me from Code." She sits up and puts her backpack on.
"You don't need to-" I was cut off by her.
"I do,yall are friends. And I made a problem" I couldn't see if her eyes were tearing up,her head was down looking at her shoes.
"Soo?" A voice was heard. Sumire nodded smiling.
"Great ,yall tell each other when and where" and with that she goes on break. As Sumire was leaving I called out.
"Can I get your number?" She stops. She was going to say something, but took it back.
"I don't have time now,ask Boruto he has it" then she left.

I was sitting on the table me and my friends usually sit. But I wasn't focused on the conversation. I was looking at my brother,Sumire and her friends. They were laughing. Sumire smile was so..I don't remember the last time I saw her genuinely smilling around me. Oh my dear flower(🪻) what have we become. I realise Code was talking to me. So I look at him.
"Bathroom " I got up and left. I needed space. After going to the bathroom, I went to the garden.
"You caused me trouble" I heard a voice. I look and see Eida cornering someone with her minions. But the girls hair caught my eye. It was purple ,it was Sumire. I go up and went over.
"HEY WHAT ARE YOU DOING " Eida turns to me.
"Kawaki-kun, we were just talking " Eida and her minions laugh. I look over to Sumire,her eyes red,her skin pale more than usually. She was scared.
"Scram from here.NOW " Eida gave Sumire a glare ,and her and her minions left. I put my hands on her shoulders.
"You okay?" She just noods. And pulls out something. It was some money 20 euros .
"Thanks" then she put the money in my hand. Was she paying me for saving her? What was with this girl repaying me for everything. I ran after her. I stopped her.
"Take you money back I don't want them" she just put her head down.
"It is a thank you for saving me ,so keep them" she hasn't looked me in the eyes still.
"If Boruto or Mitsuki saved you would you give them money?" I don't know why but I had to ask .
"No" she says quickly. "But they are my friends " with that sentence, she looked me in the eyes for a second and left me there standing. Oh my dear Sumire,you don't know how much I wanna return our friendship. I sigh and go to get my backpack for my next class.
"Hey man" Boruto says joining me. I smile
"Hey" Boruto looks at ne with worried eyes.
"Can you give me Sumires number?" I ask,his face was asking why.
"She is tutoring me at maths, she told me you will give me her number. " he nodds and pulls his phone out.
"In class" he says ,we were infront of the classroom. We entered and sat down.
"Here" Boruto handed me the phone. I see Sumires contact. Her number is the same.
"I have that number, I thought she changed it" I say casually. Boruto looks at me annoyed.
"Well people don't change that easy as you" I look at him in questions. What the fuck?? Class started ,but I wbat interested. Someone opend the door.
"Sorry to interrupt class, but the headmistress wants to see you miss Georgina." That voice was Sumires. I lift my head up and see her standing there.
"Sumire wait here while I'm gone" miss Georgina said to Sumire who wanted to cry by her request. The teacher left ,Sumire leaned on the wall.
"Hey cutie ,I wnat you number in my phone " some shit yelled at Sumire.
"Fuck off" Boruto growled back. He shut himself up. Sumire giggled . Which caused Boruto and me to smile. After some minutes the teacher came back ,and Sumire left.

AFTER SCHOOL

I was waiting for the car. Boruto Audrey left at Math because he wasn't felling well.
"Soo your number?" I turn to the voice and see Jake and Sumire. She smiled at him.
"How about a NO" she anwsered smilling. She got up,but Jake grabbed her hand. And she slaped him.
"LEARN TO UNDERSTAND NO YOU SON OF A BITCH " she was angry and scared at the same time. I smile at her action. I like that she can defend herself. As she was walking it started raining.
"Oh great " she called out. I take my hoddie off and place it over our heads. She was surprised by my actions but didn't refuse.
"I'll take you home " I say to her she looks me in the eyes.
"No need Kawaki-kun, I can go myself. Rain isn't going to hurt me" she says going under the rain.
"I don't care about you. You are my tutor I need you to pass. If you are suck you can't teach me" why did I say this. I was too harsh. The last part is true,but the first wasn't. I do care for her. Her smile disappeared and she nodded. She comes back bellow the hoddie and we walk to my car. She tells the driver where she lives and we drop her off. And my idiot self didn't have the courage to tell her sorry. Tomorrow I will.
