You're lying in bed, bored out of your mind. Scrolling through an endless stream of memes lost its charm hours ago, but you can't bring yourself to stop. You let out a small, unamused breath through your nose at a half-funny meme and double tap to like it. Just then, a notification pops up, pulling you out of your trance. It's a text-from a number you don't recognize.

"That's odd," you mutter, tapping the notification.

It's a simple message, worded like you've been friends for ages. Either you know this person, or they've got the wrong number. With a smirk, you decide to reply, letting your sarcastic side take the lead.

You chuckle to yourself before pressing send. The reply comes almost immediately, concern practically oozing through the text.
