Hours later, after knuckles gave up on getting Sonic to take it back tails was walking home with sonic the friend he lives with, his roommate, and His legal guardian. Once they get home both sit down tails says "I know we talked about this before, If you like amy I think its about time you told her" Sonic says "I don't" tails says "Then give me a straight face look me in the eye and tell me it's true" Sonic does as instructed. Tails asks "Your really sure? I'm just worried because I can't imagine you settling with someone who doesn't treat you right and who you don't love" sonic said "I know, I get it I'm really sure this time and I actually like someone else" sonic began to blush. His bro was curious but he said "I won't pry anymore you confessed alot to me today, Just know I have your back bro" sonic nods clearly in joy of having someone like tails holding him together. Sonic thought "Only if you were a little older you'd understand what I like" he glances down at his room-mates tail then looks back up to his face seeing tails fixing up the couch and then smiles towards sonic who gave a tiny smile back.

Tails knew Sonic so well he could tell when he's lying because he knew his friend mainly avoided eye contact when he lies in some way or form as his nerves act up. Sonic breathes in relief another time he doesn't have to tell tails what he's really interested in atleast for now he's so lucky his roommate gives him enough space to express as much emotion as he needs too at a time and can read his growing discomfort. Suddenly sonic starts to doubt if it's a good thing that tails knows his body language so well and Yet things have only gotten better the closer they've gotten tails is growing to be a real mature pre-teen. Sonic has thought to doubt it before, but the worrys trickle away as he starts to think of tails growing up and he knows that soon tails will be leaving the next he's seen the signs of him ready to move out he's just waiting for tails to tell him, on his own. He ponders what tails is waiting for, Why not leave now? He has a good job selling chilidogs with a stand, and Sonic tips tails pretty well at the end of the week, yet he figured out the answer that tails must be staying to be sonics support.
