Flora is currently being reminded of her hatred for packing. It's 8:30 in the morning and everyone is hurriedly packing for the mission because they all passed out last night and only remembered like 10 minutes ago that they had yet to pack and they were supposed to leave in a little over an hour.

Flora hates packing because she is always indecisive and ends up taking so long she's had to make sure she packed at least one week before any trip. With the mission already being so short notice, she's also been so stressed out about everything else going on that she totally forgot that she'd have to pack. Using magic flashes across her mind, but she knows from experience that it won't work. Magic, so useful that it is, is utterly useless when it comes to making decisions, not to mention ones that have to do with clothes. She looks at the two crochet mesh shelves in her hand and throws both of them in her suitcase. She grabs a bunch of underwear and socks and stuffs them in.

She looks over at the clock on her bed and jumps up, “Shit. It's 9 already.” Flora slaps her hand on her face and sighs, she's exhausted. She's overwhelmed by only giving herself less than two hours to pack and now she has only an hour before they leave and go on their mission, their mission that she has yet prepared herself for.

(How the hell is she supposed to face that wizard that took her??)

Not to mention all the murmurs of nature that have been so loud since she got the connection with the Tree of Life.

(And oh my gosh she hasn't even fully processed that she has a literal connection with the Tree of Life!)

Now on top of that, she has to call her parents and say goodbye because she doesn't know if she'll be able to on earth.

Flora loves her parents, she just sometimes doubts if they love her. She sighs for what feels like the 100th time today before picking up her phone. A foggy hologram shows up and after a few seconds, her mother's face appears.

“Flora?”

“Hello, Mum. Where's dad and Miele?”

Her mum raises her eyes in suspicion but disappears from the hologram and returns minutes later with her father and Miele. “Flora, Flora!! Hii!!” Flora smiles before saying hi to her very energetic sister. “Where's Stella!?? And the rest?? I wanna say Hi to everyone else!”

“Sorry Miele but they're outside packing. I'll pass it on to them for you.”

“But I wann–”

“Packing?” Flora visually winces at her mother's tone

“I–” Flora stutters before quickly closing her mouth with a loud clack.

“MMummmm! I wasn't done talking to Flora!”

“Miele. Go back to your room while your father and I talk with Flora.”

Miele pouts and waves at Flora before disappearing and Flora internally scoffs at what her mum says because she can't remember the last time she heard her father ‘talk to her.’ “Where are you going, Flora”

Flora winces again and clenches her fist because somehow her mother makes something as simple as saying her name sound like a curse. “We… … We… We have a mission on Earth.”

“What mission, Flora?

Flora sighs and clenches her first tighter, feeling the familiarity of blood wetting her fingertips. “To find the last fairy on earth, mother.”

Her mother gasps and looks at Flora like she just cursed her when she's the one who's been doing it to Flora this whole time.

It's only been five minutes and Flora already regrets calling her.
