The body crashes to the ground inches away from your outstretched arms. You and Zenitsu both freeze at the sound of the man's neck cracking against the ground. Tanjiro, on the other hand, rushes to block the kids from seeing the corpse and surrounding bloodshed, while also attempting to keep an eye on you, who'd just now noticed the blood spattered up your s/t skin and dark red kimono sleeves, starting to shake violently, you attempt to wipe the blood off your skin rushedly, though it only makes it worse, smearing it further up your arms.

"Y/n!" Zenitsu shouts rushing over to your crouched form, "Y/n! It's okay, calm down!" He attempts to soothe, but he was just as freaked out as you were. Tanjiro glances over to the kids, exchanging a few words with them before he rushes over to your side.
You turn to look at Tanjiro once you notice him running up to you, your expression must give away your panic, as Tanjiro mutters to you soothingly, pulling you gently away from the corpse.
Your mind felt fuzzy, you couldn't form a single congruent thought.
