Days turned into weeks, and weeks into months. Our hopes began to dwindle as Siyu, remained in a coma. We had fallen into a routine, alternating visits to Udaipur to be by her side.

However, today was different. It was Ganesh Chaturthi, a significant festival in Jaipur, celebrated with great fervor. The city came alive with vibrant decorations, joyful processions, and heartfelt prayers.
Jaipur, the Pink City, transformed into a vibrant canvas on Ganesh Chaturthi. Every corner, every street, and every household radiated joy and devotion.

Colorful pandals, intricately designed with flowers, leaves, and glittering decorations, sprouted across the city. The air vibrated with the sound of dhols, nagadas, and chanting.

Rajasthani folk music and dance performances enthralled the crowds. Women clad in traditional ghagra cholis, their hands adorned with intricate henna designs, danced with abandon.

The sweet aroma of traditional sweets - laddus, modaks, and jalebis - wafted through the streets, tempting passersby.

Stalls selling idol-making materials, decorative items, and festive attire dotted the bazaars. Vendors hawked their wares, from glittering ganesh idols to vibrant flowers.

As dusk fell, the city came alive with twinkling lights. Homes, temples, and pandals shimmered with diyas, candles, and LED decorations.

Devotees thronged the temples, offering prayers and prasad to Lord Ganesha. The chanting of mantras, the beating of drums, and the fragrance of incense sticks created an intoxicating atmosphere.

In the midst of this revelry, our family's somber mood stood out. Our thoughts remained with Siyu, hospitalized and unaware of the festivities.

In our community, the Rajputs, Rathores, and Rajvanshs erected majestic Ganesh pandal, recreating the divine atmosphere of Lord Ganesha's abode.

Normally, we'd immerse ourselves in the festivities, reveling in the music, dance, and traditional delicacies. But this year, our enthusiasm was subdued.

We went through the motions, bringing Bappa home, performing the customary puja, and offering modaks. Yet, our minds wandered to Siyu, lying motionless in the hospital.

Ashu's eyes would well up during the aarti, Pie's smile seemed forced, and all our laughter sounded hollow. All of our usual energy was missing.
