Dil tere bin thehra sa hai
Tu dhadkano ka hai safar
Kaanton bhara har raasta
Phoolon ki hai tu rehguzar
Jaavedaan hai ishq tujh se jaavedaan hai
Jaan o dil ke darmiyaan hai, darmiyaan tu haan

I looked around, still sitting against the old, dusty wall, my white clothes stained with blood. The floor beneath me was filthy, and as I glanced at my hand, now bandaged.
Suddenly, the door creaked open, and a shiver ran down my spine. I thought it was him-Rayyan, the man I despised, the one who had taken me from my home and forced me into this life of servitude.
But no, it was a woman standing there, holding a bag.
She walked towards me, her gray hair sparkling with age, her eyes flickering with a mixture of sympathy and sorrow. She knelt down beside me, placing the bag on the mattress.
"Ahh, child, why don't you take a shower? A lady named Parveen came to me last night; she gave me this bag when I went outside. She said she knows you. Your clothes are in this bag," she said gently.
I merely nodded my head, too exhausted and numb to respond.
"And what did Sir order you to do yesterday?" she asked, her voice low and cautious, her eyes glancing nervously around the corner.
I nodded again, accepting my fate. To live like a maid in this house, my father hadn't even tried to stop Rayyan when he dragged me out of his mansion.
He had given me to Rayyan himself. Rayyan would grow annoyed with me, leave me alone once he realized I was no use to anyone. He would, Mahira.
"This room is just a little dusty; the bathroom also works fine. Let's clean this room," she suggested, rising to stand.
