meri nazar ka safar tujhpe hi aake ruke

kehne ko baaki hai kya, kehna tha jo keh chuke

meri nigaahe hain teri nigaho ki

tujhe khabar kya be-khabar

main tujhse hi chhup chhup kar teri aankhe padhti hu

kaun tujhe yu pyaar karega jaise main karti hu.

The warm glow of the chandelier above the dining table cast long shadows over the opulent mansion. I watched him from the corner of my eye as he walked towards the table, his phone pressed to his ear, his voice a distant murmur.

He was about to sit, I could see it in the way his muscles tensed, the slight dip of his knees-but then, something changed. His posture stiffened, and with a quick glance around, he turned on his heel and walked out of the mansion.

I sighed in relief. Good. He didn't stay. The head maid, Mrs. Mehra approached me, her expression weary.

"I think sir is not going to stay here tonight," she said, her voice tinged with resignation. The other maids, who had been standing around, exchanged glances before dispersing back to their duties.

It was ten o'clock. My eyes were heavy, begging for sleep, yet my back throbbed relentlessly. I hoped the pain would ease soon.

As I made my way out of the kitchen, my breath caught in my throat. There they were-Rayyan and a girl. My heart skipped a beat.

Rayyan was smiling, laughing, his hand resting casually on her shoulder. She was beautiful, stunning even, dressed in a black long dress that clung to her perfect figure.
