6 - Meeting

A new day starts with our well settled house. No more boxes to unpack, no more stuff on the floor and everything on its place. Though we were extremely tired after finishing everything but it feels great having the house settled.

And the best part about this was that Aditya Khurrana opted to help us. Me bumping into him was a shock but him helping us was something indescribable. And his niece, my little angel, was such a good company. Just 4 years old but quite bossy. But I don't mind. She hugged me, kissed me and made me feel alive. Having kids around is a mood lifter. They can be annoying sometimes, but when they smile, they take away all your worries. Since we live in the same building, I hope I bump more into her.

And about Aditya, he is not as bad as he is portrayed in the media. When Asha was constantly ordering him, he didn't say anything. He was very obedient. Since I am trying to enter in his industry I hope we will meet again. He is a nice company.

Finally Asha and me could spare sometime for our infamous tea break. In Delhi it used to be our time. Though we lived separately but everyday we somehow managed to get together for our tea time. And now since we are living together every-time is our-time.

- What is the plan today? - I came out of my thinking when Asha called.

- Nothing much. I just want to relax for few days. And then will search for some work for both of us. We can manage few days without working.

- Yes. And in case we run out of money. We can use Akash's card. - she said smiling, though I can notice the void she is feeling without him.

- You are missing him a lot right? - I said side hugging her.

- Yes. I miss cuddling him. And throwing tantrums which he fulfils instantly. - she said making a pouty face.

I know she misses her family a lot. This was her first time without her family. I should plan something for her.

We were just sitting silently side hugging each other when my phone rang.

- Hello, I am calling from the AR productions office. We might have an offer for you. Can you come for a meeting today? - said the other person on the call.

- Today as in now?

- Yes, in an hour?

- Okay. I will be there. - I was a little hesitant about the time because it is already 7pm and I don't know how long the meeting will go on. But I need a job. Though I wanted to take few days off but it's just a meeting. We'll see how it goes.

- Perfect. See you then.

I cut the call and looked at Asha. She was already looking at me with curious eyes.

- It was from AR productions. They have called for a meeting in an hour. - I told her.

- That's great. Call a taxi right now and be on time.

- And you?

- I will be waiting and I'll cook for you today. I can also pamper you - She replied seeing my furrowed brows and hugged me tightly.

- Are you sure?

- Yes ma'am. Now go or else you'll get late.

- Bye - I quickly got ready and left home.

I reached just in time. It is actually surprising receiving a call from them the very next day. Because they usually look for many auditions. But anyway, better for me. Luck has always been with me when it comes to professional life. If only it accompanied me in my personal life as well.
