18 - Misunderstanding

As much as I try to stay away from Shanaya, she keeps clinging on me. We were in a relationship in our early twenties, but it was more like a fling. We both have dated people afterwards. But god's know why she still keeps coming on me.

- I love you Adi. I'll please you the way no one...

Before she could say further, the door opened abruptly.

Niyati was standing there. Her eyes went wide seeing me and Shanaya so close. Our position could easily make someone assume that we were getting intimate. But Niyati is the last person I would have wanted to see me like this.

I feel my world falling apart. She might misunderstand and..

- I am sorry. I.. - she left midway misunderstanding the whole situation.

I pushed Shanaya and ran behind her.

- Niyati, listen to me - I said coming in front of her.

- Aditya, please don't create a scene here - she said calmly looking around - I have to get ready. I just came to ask you if we can rehearse before the shot. But I see you are busy.

- No baby - I said taking her face in my hands. I can feel her eyes wet which she is hiding from me. She is looking everywhere but at me. And why would she, unknowingly I hurt her. I made her cry when I promised myself to only give her happiness - Niyati I was...

- Aditya please, let me go. I need some time - she removed my hands from her face and walked towards her van.

Unintentionally, I broke her heart. Or better said, Shanaya made sure that her heart gets broken. I am not going to leave her.

I furiously walk towards my van. I see Shanaya looking herself in the mirror and settling her hair. She smirks looking at me from the mirror. I abruptly turn her to face me.

- I dare you to repeat this again. I'll make sure the next moment you are licking her shoe for an apology - I say holding her neck with my hand and chocking her. I can see fear rising in her eyes. I try my best to control my anger but seeing Niyati's wet eyes, there is no way I am calming down.

I have been avoiding Shanaya nicely till now. Every time she tried to get close to me, I ignored her. But she dared to hurt my Niyati. She had tears because of this filthy woman. She will face my rage now.

Aditya's hand on Shanaya's throat was tightening. She was having trouble breathing now.

- Chachuuuu - he heard Isha calling him from a distance.

He came back to his senses. He removed his hand from Shanaya's neck and moved outside the van. He was also struggling to breath because of his anger and distress, his fear of her misunderstanding him and leaving him was breaking his heart into million pieces. He wanted to run to Niyati and clear everything.

He saw Isha coming towards him. He bend down to her level and hugged her tightly trying to forget his worries.

- Chachu, papa is not taking me to wonderland. You please take me - she complained.

- Sorry princess. But right now, I cannot. Your papa is my boss and he will not let me come with you - he said breaking the hug and facing her.
