Nadia

Returning home from my shift at the bakery, I pulled into my driveway noticing August's car there. I groaned loudly before making my way into the house.

Walking into the living room, I see bags with shoes and clothing covering nearly every inch of the room. Scanning the room, my eyes land on August who has an apologetic look on his face.

"What's all this?" I asked reverting my attention back to the bags.

"Just a little gift, I wanted to show you that I was genuinely sorry. I've never disrespected a woman like that in my life. I don't know what came over me, but I just really want your forgiveness. To get back to us." He spoke without a trace of his accent. I burned holes into his eyes trying to see if he was being truthful.

"I forgive you." I spoke as he smiled pulling me into a hug making me wince in pain. "But I'll never forget." I said snatching away from his grip leaving him dumbfounded.

"What more do you want?" He asked with pleading eyes. "I'll do anything."

"I don't want to be showered with gifts. I don't want to be scared of being in a relationship with you. That was the last straw. Give me space to figure out what I really want." I spoke as silence took over the room. We stared at each other not making a sound until he finally spoke up.

"If that's what you want, I'll do it. Love you." He spoke softly walking past me and towards the door.

Sighing as I heard the door close, I looked around at all the bags shaking my head. Taking all the bags and boxes into the hall closet, I removed my curls from my face.
Going upstairs to my bathroom, I quickly stripped from my clothes and hopped in the shower. After cleansing myself, I quickly scrubbed all of the makeup off of my face.

Stepping from the shower, I towel dried myself and threw on a pair of sweats and a sports bra. Walking over to my bed, I turned the tv on going to Netflix. Checking the time on my phone, it was only 6:30. Just as I got comfortable underneath the covers, my doorbell rang.

Grabbing a random hoodie, I quickly threw it on. Groaning loudly, I ran downstairs to the door. Unlocking the locks, I opened the door to reveal Chris standing there awkwardly.

"What are you doing here?" I asked with confusion plastered on my face.

"Oh, you uhm left this in my car." He said holding out a bobby pin smiling shyly.

"Thanks?" I chuckled taking it from the pinch in his fingers as we stood there in an awkward silence. "Uh do you want to come in?"

"Sure." He said walking in as I closed the door behind him. Leading him into the living room, he examined everything thoroughly.

"Your walls are so plain, you should really add some color to it." He spoke as we walked over to the couch and sat down.

"I know, I actually wanted some murals done, but.." I trailed off turning on the tv going to the Netflix app.

"You know I could actually help you with that." He smirked.

"How so?" I asked clicking on the Rugrats Movie.

"Girl I do more than sing. I'll even do it for free."

"Really? You don't have to. You don't even know me." I said with a confused face actually questioning why I invited him into my house so quickly.

"That's the thing, in return you have to allow me to get to know you. That's how you'll pay me." He said turning his attention to the movie. "We can start tonight."

"Deal." I spoke going into the kitchen grabbing a bag of hot chips and mike and Ike's. Taking a bowl from the cabinet, I poured the contents from both bags and mixed them in the bowl. Making my way back into the living room, I grabbed two sodas from the fridge in the process.

Handing him the soda, I sat back down taking a handful from the bowl in my lap.

"So what do you want to know today?" I asked stuffing the snacks in my mouth.

"Anything you can think of." He spoke looking over at me taking the bowl from my grasp.

"Okay." I trailed off telling him a few things about myself.

After hours of talking to Nadia about everything under the sun, she finally crashed while we were watching reruns of the Boondocks. Looking over at her figure which was lying next to me, I admired her features. Murals, graffiti, music, and dance are all a part of the art genre, but she's a real piece of artwork. After looking at her long eyelashes, I made my way down to her lips. I noticed it poked out a tad bit in one spot. Getting an eerie feeling that I was being a creep, I pulled out my phone to check the time. 12:32. Shrugging my shoulders, I grabbed the blanket from the back of the couch placing it over her body.

Getting up from my position on the couch, I turned the television off and grabbed my keys. Glancing at her once more, I made my way to the front door to let myself out. As I opened the door, I was met with a guy who was just about to knock.

"Sup?" I awkwardly asked walking out. He just gave a simple head nod as he eyed me before walking in and closing the door behind him.

I sighed before making my way to my car driving off. She never said anything about having a boyfriend when I asked. Maybe I'm just jumping to conclusions. I just met her, but strangely enough, I'm already starting to feel attached to her.
