7. Another meet

As the first ray of light crept through the window, the alarm clock on the nightstand suddenly sprang to life, shattering the peaceful silence. It's ear-piercing sound echoed in the room, jolting Charlotte awake from her deep slumber

Charlotte's POV -

I groggily opened my eyes, blinking away the traces of my pleasant dream. The alarm clock's LED display assaulted my vision, reading '6:00AM' in the bold red numbers. My body was heavy with sleep, so I reached over to silence the alarm

As the sound stopped, I collapsed back onto my bed, letting out a frustrated sigh. I rubbed my eyes and with a reluctant groan, I tossed off the covers and swung my legs over the side of the bed, my feet dangling in the morning air

My thoughts began to clear and reality set in : Another day had begun

Ethan's POV :-

I leaned at my swivel chair, my mind racing with the thoughts of the case, which I'm solving right now, My eyes scan every word visible on the documents in my hand. I analysed all the things printed on the paper but it looks like enigma doesn't allow me to enclose it's secrets

I let out a frustrated sigh, rubbing my palm against my face. Sealing my eyes, I resemble all the meanderings in my mind, penetrating into the case more deeply

Just when the door creaked open . I open my eyes heading back to reality and gesturing my thoughts to fly along with the warm breezes of air conditioner

"Dude, I have to inform you about something important" Andre says while making his way to sit on the chair before me

Charlotte's POV:-

"Charley come fast, I'm waiting outside" Lia says and hangs up the call. Ok, so I'm finally done with my hair, These strands look good with me so I should leave it open

I look at myself, I'm wearing a tailored navy blue pantsuit which is highlighting my hourglass body, with a crisp white blouse

The fitted jacket is emphasising my shoulders and a slim silver watch that adorned my wrist

My hairs are styled in a sleek, low bun, showcasing my face and hazel green eyes. A subtle hint of makeup enhanced my natural features, defining my brows and adding a soft glow to my cheeks

"Wait, something is still missing" I look around and "here!" I found it.
Simple yet elegant silver earrings, now it's completing my polished look with a pair of YSL heels which is going perfect with my business attire

"Where the hell are you?! We are getting late?!" A sudden yell, made me jolted me from my thoughts. "Coming" I say taking a last glance at my perfect outfit. And rush towards the door

Now I'm ready to tackle the challenges of today's meeting, so I can do it !

I knock at the door in hesitation, and take a deep breath that is signalling my heart to calm down, Lia pats my shoulders, knowing well how nervous I must be being right now. Just when a 'click' voice makes me jolt

Only for me to choke in air after the door opened, and the man in front of me came into realisation

"Ethan??!!" Lia yelled near my ears, the voice was enough for my ears to be torn apart. I cannot take my eyes off of him

Is he really him or am I just dreaming.
Just when he stretches his towards me asking me for a handshake

With trembling hands, I touch his palm with my fingers, his touch made shivers run down my spine. "Hello I'm Ethan Francois, France's famous lawyer" he says with a soft smile
